Buena ubicacion

El servicio del personal no es el mejor, parece que están enojados. Nunca funcionó la señal de tele, dijeron que era el servicio de tigo, pero ninguno de los dos días hubo señal y fue aburrido estar en la habitación porque debíamos descansar para el evento. No me dieron el te que pedí en el desayuno.

Muy céntrico

We were greeted by a less than welcoming staff person. The room was “okay”, however very old and did not appear to be maintained. We walked into a sweltering hot room as all appliances including refrigerator, freezer and AC were either unplugged or turned off. The pool was covered in algae and leaves. The jacuzzi was empty. Aside from the registration staff, all other staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast that was included was very nice.

Beautiful property, great room, but there was no water from the time I got up until the time I checked out, I thought that was rather odd.

Very close to the action short walk to the beach wonderful location I would highly recommend this property for your stay in Costa Rica

This place is not a bad option. It's not expensive, the pool is nice enough, and some of the staff is very helpful (some less so, as is normal). The rooms, though, are dark and a bit dingy. There is simply no way for the light to get to the rooms, so you depend upon what may be the worst lighting I have ever seen in a hotel room. No bedstand lighting, harsh & insufficient ceiling lights & no outlets! It's pretty depressing, frankly - à la cheap roadside motels.The rooms are clean enough, although it may be time for a bit of a spruce up. However, the hotel is right on a busy road, so it's constantly noisy, & dusty, and the town is a bit rowdy, so not a lot of peace & quiet here. The location is fine--next door to a GREAT pollolandia, upon which you'll depend, as the food at this hotel is just not good. The breakfasts are an embarrassment--cut-up hot dogs? seriously? EXTREMELY greasy frozen hash brown thingies, fried eggs dripping with grease, pre-cooked, & stacked in a buffet. EXTRA greasy yuca served one day. Terrible toast & all the margarine you can eat. I begged for butter, but was told by a rather nasty woman that "Margarine. This is what we have!" But, one day, a magical employee who actually gave a damn brought me an entire stick of butter. I thanked him profusely, & explained that I only needed a Tablespoon, which he kindly brought to me for the subsequent breakfasts. So, bottom line--Coco is not a particularly nice town in which to stay, but this hotel is adequate.

Hotel Colono has clean rooms, great beds, and a gorgeous pool area. On top of that, the people are the best - staff are kind and helpful!

The t v didn't work in the room was broken and they didn't replace it, and the shower head fell off and hit my girlfriend in the head

Situé à 5 minutes de marche de la plage sur une rue relativement paisible pour le coin. Les déjeuners sont corrects. Les lumières dans notre chambre étaient tellement faibles qu'on avait l'impression de vivre dans un dongeon. Personnel très gentil. Grosse musique provenant de la salle de réception de l'hôtel samedi soir (finit vers 21h) et encore dimanche matin débutant à 10h pour 30 minutes.

We have chosen Hotel Colono several times. The pool is gorgeous, rooms are great, beds are comfy, food is good, yet it is the staff who make this a stand out place for us!

Nice location closure to downtown

Convenient location. Across from grocery store. Short walk to the beach. Very clean and staff were very friendly and helpful. Extremely noisy with an eatery/bar next door. Traffic noise was horrendous. Motorbikes up and down the street all night. Would not stay here again.

Clean and quiet, lots of parking available

Our room was clean. Most of the staff were friendly, especially the evening front desk staff and evening restaurant server. Good location that's walking distance to restaurants and beach.

First time in Costa Rico and it was amazing, hotel was clean, great location to the beach. lots of stuff to do at night. Definitely recommend and will be back!!

Just ok, nothing special. The staff at breakfast was not friendly. The property was clean and well maintained. The room was clean but smelled a little musty. Convenient to town, walking distance to a lot.

Location location location.. great room, grocery store right across, all restaurants minutes away by foot. Friendly staff.
