Amazing small boutique property, definitely recommend if staying near Mirissa beach area. The beach is very private and quiet, much better than being right in on Mirissa beach. Food can be hit and miss however overall it was good! All the staff are really friendly and helpful. I would definitely reccommend to anyone wanting to travel to this area.

What a surprise to find we had booked a suite for the price of a room. The suite is gorgeous, huge bed, beautiful linen and separate living area and deck. Bathroom huge too. The staff were so helpful and food fabulous. For a romantic time this is your place. But not near anything else, quite remote but suited us.

we stayed 6 nights at the lantern and enjoyed every minute of it. amazing in-house kitchen with always smiling and polite staff. rooms are really beautiful and clean. great pool and heavenly beach right in front of the hotel. we will be back for sure.

The hotel and location is stunning and the staff is very friendly and the food is great! We booked a room in the hotel but ended up in one of the villas next door that just opened its doors as they were overbooked. The villa is for friends and family with a communal living area and kitchen and we were told to have this exclusively and could enjoy some privacy. A dream too good to be true as both villas turned out to be occupied during our stay (meaning 6 to 8 different couples. They claimed to be overbooked due to some errors in the booking systems but seriously how is a hotel with 6 rooms able to overbook with another 8…… We stayed in the garden room with no sea view and no seating area so make sure you double check when booking! To justify the room rates I believe the hotel need to step up on attention to detail. Like cleaning up sunbeds when guests leave at the end of the day, renewal of pool towels, cleaning up the communal kitchen area during the day as plates and cups attracts ants and other animals, make sure shower gel and shampoo in the bathrooms are filled.
