Our room - number 5 - had the perfect view but it was small. We found it really difficult navigate around the room & bathroom easily. When we arrived for our stay (around 4.30) we enquired about a late lunch and it seemed a problem even though the restaurant was almost empty with many spare tables. It took a few minutes to be accommodated by the staff. However, we enjoyed our food & it was served quickly with smiles & efficiency. When we left two days later we realised we had left two hats probably in our room. I have emailed separately to enquire about them on two occasions but not received any acknowledgement for reply. Finally, guests should be really encouraged /reminded not to not drive the very tight lane to the hotel but use station car park as mentioned in confirmation booking. It was a nightmare to negotiate and we had no idea how difficult this would be. Thank you for our stay Claire & Jon

Room 16: There was lots of fluff on the floor of our room, it needed a wet clean as well as vacuuming the basin in the bathroom was very impractical, the shelf above needs to be removed to allow access. the bed needs changing the right hand side has collapsed and leaning outwards. (We did not sleep well) 10/10 for the staffs they have been great with us.

Sue the person who greeted us at the reception desk was superb, friendly, helpful and went above and beyond in the services she provided. The rest of the staff were great as well and friendly! Our stay in the hotel room which had a living room area was very comfortable and the views of the ocean right at your door were awesome! I liked the quirky layout of the room, #19, and its amenities. This hotel is in a great location in St Ives to potter about. Highly recommended!

The most amazing room with a view! Very dog friendly with easy access to the beach. Great staff and breakfast. Although we didn’t eat in the restaurant in the evening - It had a great buzz. First time here and it won’t be our last! Thank you team Pedn Olva

Wonderful sea view from the room and the room was well stocked with everything you could possibly need. The breakfast menu was good and catered to everyone needs. Overall highly recommend the stay.

All the staff were excellent., the position of the hotel is right on the rocks with fantastic sea views all round. Lovely village with nice little shops, bars, pubs and eating places to cater for all tastes.

Having walked past the hotel for many years it was amazing to stay there. The hotel has had a gorgeous makeover. Amazing! The setting is stunning. The staff are all very friendly and the food is delicious many thanks to the chefs who you don’t see. The only downside was the size of the room it was a bit cramped we stayed in room 4. We only stayed 2 nights which we managed but I wouldn’t want to stay longer in that particular room. I would definitely stay again but I would have to look at the different room options. Thank you to all the staff 😃

We stayed in room18, a Deluxe suite, amazing aspect situated directly by the sea. Comfy, friendly staff, dinner menu possibly a bit limited but will definitely stay again.

We stayed in a beautiful room with a fabulous view. It didn’t feel like a hotel, more like your own bedroom at home so nice and homely. Following its recent refurbishment on the whole it’s a lovely job. Would we stay again, yes we would. Beautiful views across the harbour and the other direction to Porthminster from the bar and restaurant.
