The architecture and gardens are a stand out feature of this hotel located on a quiet section of Bentota Beach ( separated by a railway line which you cross on foot!). Staff are efficient and courteous

スリランカが誇るジェフリー・バワの建築を、日本の隈研吾氏がモダンに昇華させた、この世のものとは思えないスペシャルな空間です。建築に携わる方なら、このディテールと環境の調和を確認するためだけにでも訪問する価値があります。 スパではアーユルヴェーダのコースを選択しましたが、心身ともに深くリラックスできました。 食事についても「スリランカで一番美味しい」という評判通り、どのお料理も感動的な味わいです。 事前の懸念だった蚊も、滞在中はほとんど気にならず快適に過ごせました。スタッフのサービスも行き届いており、毎日が至福のひとときでした。必ずまた再訪したいと思います。

Beautiful building and grounds leading across the railway line to the beach; comfortable room.

Beautiful Geoffrey Bowa- designed boutique hotel set in a beautifully tended garden. This is our second stay & it didnt disappoint. The staff remembered us after 4 years! Very good service, excellent breakfasts & evening meal. There is a train line running along the bottom of the garden and the train clanks along it every hour or so. We loved the quirkiness of it. Its a gorgeous, peaceful sanctuary. Beautiful beach is just over the railway line. There are bars along the beach to the left for a lunchtime wander & food, and also great places to eat along the beach to the right in Bentota (or short tuk-tuk ride). I would happily come back here anytime!

Bohoma istuh-ti for your excellent welcome both very professional and very friendly because know it, the villa club people will always do everything for your well. As you will see in photo we tested almost all the Sri Lankan specialties proposed. The chef and his team are on top. Pool temperature and cleanliness at the top ditto for the very intimate garden & pleasant olfactory of gardenia and jasmine. Room/Villa extremely elegant, colonial style and it is all the interest of the place the feeling of being at home in VIP Beach: Direct access, wild and clean ideal for late afternoon walks and swimming in the rollers. The train It is very little present, it brings an entertaining and exotic note. These 7 days were wonderful and rich of beautiful meeting in a dream place. It was wonderful to return here - I love this hotel. The gardens are beautiful and the beach is clean and fabulous for swimming and long walks. The staff are outstanding. In many years of travel I don’t think I’ve ever seen a hotel staff member more dedicated than the pool guy (pool is great for swimming laps too - 25m). The housekeeping team were great too - and surprised me daily with towel ‘art’ and flowers on the bed. Excellent food too!

A lovely boutique resort! The grounds were beautiful and the beach a short walk away. The staff was attentive but not obtrusive. I'd go back in a heartbeat!

Nice facility, comfortable rooms. Pretty garden with pool. Pool was hot, but the hotel was adding cool water - just a hot place! You do need to cross the railroad tracks to the beach (as with most hotels in Bentota), but it's not that big of a deal - just no water views from the hotel because of the distance. What is most strange is that there is no setup of chairs/sunbeds/umbrellas or anything at the beach. On Day 2 of our stay we were able to get 2 sunbeds brought down to the beach. Seems really odd for a beach location. The ocean was pretty rough the first day, then slightly calmer the next two days - waves, but not knocking you over (we were there end of February). Restaurant staff is friendly and attentive. Food is very good, though not outstanding.

The staff are so helpful & go the extra mile for you. The pool is super & the beach so near - it’s stunning. You can easily go into Bentota town to shop or have lunch on the river.

Charming boutique hotel, decorated with taste, good rooms, helpful staff, excellent location almost on the (beautiful) beach. If you are not worried by the old diesel trains crossing the end of the garden, you will only enjoy your stay.

We loved this place and could have abandoned our life just to stay here forever!! The staff is the most helpful and kind! Rooms are adorable and the swimming pool and direct access to the beach a paradise on earth! We usually never dine at the hotel we stay in, but the food at the villa restaurant made us change our habit! The food is delicious, the sea food fresh and the chef manganda a real diamond! Definitly the best place we stayed in Sri Lanka and such comforting home to come back to after spending the morning surfing!

You will feel how Bawa relaxed in his cozy villa. Different atmosphere from other Bawa hotels infinity pools. I had yoga retreat in the garden looking at sunset. Good access to Lunuganga and Brief garden by tuktuk. Not many restaurants around there. Too many mosquitos so mosquitos killer spray is a must.

非常に満足しています。スタッフはみな親切でした。 予約率7割ほどと感じましたが、夕、朝とも部屋数以上の席がレストランに用意されており、待つことなく食事をとれました。 経年で少々劣化していたりといった点はありましたが、バワの手掛けたそのままを大事にしているのが感じられ、暖かみのある良いホテルでした。

THE HOTEL IS THE WORST EVER EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE. THEY ATTEMPTED TO CHEAT ME BY TRYING TO COMMIT CREDIT CARD FRAUD AND TRIED TO CHARGE ALMOST 3.5 TIMES THE AMOUNT WHICH WAS DUE. IN ADDITION I HAD TO SPEND THE ENTIRE DAY AT THE POLICE STATION TRYING TO GET THEM TO ADMIT THAT THEY WERE TRYING TO CHEAT ME WITH AMPLE PROOF OBTAINED IN TEXT MESSAGES FROM MY BANK. FORTUNATELY I HAD REPORTED THE ISSUE IMMEDIATELY TO MY BANK. I WOULD URGE PEOPLE TO NEVER BOOK THIS HOTEL AS THEY ARE FULL OF CHEATS INCLUDING THE ENTIRE MANAGEMENT! EXPEDIA NEEDS TO TAKE ACTION AGAINST THEM BY DELISTING THEM FROM THEIR WEBSITE.
