My room was adequate size for a double bed but cramped due to also having a single bed. This left no space for a comfortable seat. There was only just enough room for my greyhound to lie between the 2 beds. The shower was poor, with a pulsing action, and never really got hot. Communal areas, including the bar, were welcoming and dog friendly. Food was reasonable but ales were disappointing.
The stairs were hazardous due to a door opening on to them. This had a strong self-closing action and was very difficult to negotiate with luggage. It was particularly challenging to get through safely with my dog. That would dissuade me from staying there again.
