A good welcome but the

The hotel was quiet and in a good location but the bed was very uncomfortable and the pillows were very poor and we had a very poor sleep.

Hotel was ideally placed for access to the city centre. The room was clean and tidy. Shower is great. Sports Bar downstairs was lively, but not intrusive. Food was lovely, however, staff were a bit slow.

Don’t stay here. Absolutely appalling experience! Was given a key to a room that wasn’t clean … Twice this happened! Eventually got us a room that wasn’t anything like we asked for. Not only that, they charged me twice for the room and when I asked for proof of refund they provided nothing. Now I have to chase up with my bank for my refund.

Nice staff. Clean and tidy. The rooms are above the pub.an hours walk from the city centre. Tea and coffee/ Shampoo provided. Lots of free on-road parking.

They don’t do breakfast but there is a good cafe 100 yards away that does.

Good facility in a convenient location for access to city centre. The hotel had nice bar, good selection of food and great service. The room was well maintained and clean.

Very pleasant staff, except for being hurried out early from the bar on Friday night ( at 23:25) when it states it is open until 11:45.

Very nice staff and with 25 minutes walk of town center but also served by buses. Limited parking but possible to park on the street.

You get what you pay for I suppose. Staff all very friendly. Lively bar and restaurant downstairs if that’s your thing. My room was on the top floor above where the smokers hang out all day from the bar. Thankfully far enough away not to be bothered. Room was ok. Very tired. Stained carpet and cigarette butts all over the balcony. Floorboards unbelievably squeaky. Felt bad for my neighbours every time I moved in the room. Could hear people in next room talking, not loudly. There are only about 4 parking spaces and staff seem to use them. I got in there one out of 4 nights. Free parking in nearby streets and it’s a safe neighbourhood. I didn’t complain about anything. It was just me on the trip and have stayed in worse places. Wi-Fi worked well and the bed and bathroom were clean. Wouldn’t take my family here though.

The Hotel is geared towards the Tradie clientele. The room we stayed in had mould on the ceiling, dirty windows, stank of smoke and cheap deodoriser. The hotel and rooms look like they were decorated in the 90's and haven't had any update since. This place is ok if you want a posh Crack Den but i wouldnt stay here again or recommend it.

Fine for overnight. Can get a bar dinner in the sports pub attached. A bit of a walk into town.

Stay in Aberdeen for a night out. Easy to find and staff very helpful. Sadly, they don’t do breakfast Street parking outside hotel.

The staff we friendly and rooms where clean and food was very good

I had a quick overnighter at the Great Western. Seems to be a good and conveniently located hotel. I was able to park (fee free!). Just a 10 minute walk to Aberdeen High Street. The room was clean, had a comfortable bed and good heating. I was in and out with no issues.

The first room I was given had not been cleaned; dirty towels no pillow cases: no clean towels dirty. It was rectiy and was given a new room. This is a pleasant hotel at budget price. If you have mobility issues not good choice.

Was a good location for our golf trip. Hotel was nice, and room was clean. My room was above the smokers corner so difficult to have the window open. Hotel served food in the eveniing, but no breakfast facility available and no other optiion close by. Not a problem for us as we got breakfast at the golf courses we went to, but maybe a consideration for others
