Was good breakfast, very low range of meals at night, room was very odd, floor was very uneven in bedroom and the bathroom was not level. Door of room had a big gap that showed how uneven the floor was.

Lovely traditional hotel

The room was clean and spacious. Very friendly hotel staff and a beautiful location.

Great location with stunning views down the valley.

The hotel was interesting enough and not horrible. But there were some deficiencies. The exterior entrance doors are very narrow and there is nobody there to help you with your luggage. Or to even hold the door. If you are not very strong and need some help it might be a challenge. The front desk clerk when we checked in, was completely indifferent to us. When we had a problem with the Wi-Fi, she was condescending and never did get our issue straightened out. The Wi-Fi there did not work very well and if you have to work while you are staying there that may be a problem for you. We asked to waiter for help with the Wi-Fi and he said he’d help us with that and then he never came back. The room was OK except for the huge dip in the bathroom floor that made you feel kind of drunk when you walked in and the shower had a sour smell and what appeared to be mold on the walls. It was warm and no AC, which would be fine, except the window didn’t stay open and even if it did, they were pigeons roosting next to the window. I liked the idea of the hotel and the exterior was very attractive. But out of seven hotels we stayed at on this long trip. This would be the only one with a negative review.

The room was clean and the breakfast was buffet style (hot and cold) with an abundance of choice. Tea, coffee and a choice of juices were available. Check out was a simple key drop.

Be careful about booking when weddings are taking place. Loud guests running up and down the stairs doesn’t make for the most restful of stays. Hotel is clean but a little basic.

Set in a wonderful location. Close to Frome. Helpful team. Hotel a bit dated but lovely gardens and room.

Good experience for a family trip.

Beautiful location but very tired. Great location just outside of Bath but the hotel is very dated and needs a refurb. Rooms are clean but dark wood furniture and bathroom facilities definitely need an update. Breakfast was average in a very old fashioned dining area and buffer layout was amateurish compared with modern hotels. That said, lovely location and great pub at the bottom of the driveway!

Beautiful location with very helpful and friendly staff

Overall Rating: Poor Great potential and friendly staff, but rooms desperately need an update. We stayed at the Best Western Limpley Stoke Hotel on the 16th May. While the property has so much potential and the staff we interacted with were friendly enough, the room itself was incredibly disappointing. Our room was in desperate need of an update and had some clear maintenance and security issues. The bed was highly uncomfortable, and there was a four-way extension lead hidden away under the desk. The radiator thermostat was also completely broken, meaning the room was far too hot and we were forced to sleep with the windows open all night. Furthermore, the bedroom door did not close properly; we only realised upon checkout that it required a forceful, extra hard push to actually lock and secure it. The biggest issue, however, was the complete lack of privacy. There was no curtain or blind in the bathroom. At night, anyone in the house directly across the way could see exactly what you were up to, meaning we ended up having to use the bathroom in the dark. As for the food, the breakfast was just okay for a hotel breakfast. It certainly wasn't the worst we have ever had, but it really wasn't worth the extra charge. It is a real shame because the hotel has wonderful potential and the team members are pleasant, but the state and security of the accommodation really let our stay down.

Front staff varied - from excellent to just lip-service. We were upgraded - con! It meant we had a room on the third floor with no lift and a range of stairs in all directions. A mish-mach of furniture - not quite classy or executive as claimed :-) The water pressure was very low and the temperature low as well. We reported it but nothing was done to rectify nor were we even approached to clarify. My husband ordered a sandwich for dinner - yes a sandwich and he knew what he was ordering but was still taken back when it arrived - literally a sandwich I would make for my child’s school lunch. 2 pieces of white bread with a slice of salami, some cheese and mayonnaise. Really for a restaurant???

Lovely views Tired needs some work

Nice hotel, nice clean room, good hot buffet breakfast, staff always friendly, good bar with plenty of choice of drinks.
