I booked the taxi from the hotel but no one pick up. I booked 2 rooms but they gave us only one room.

i booked this hotel 2 rooms finally for 3 people, but they gave me only one family room and they said didn't get other booking.... so who's fault???? and we booked transport service from airport to hotel directly from the hotel staff but no one pick up at the airport (we confirmed too many times for this taxi service) . We flown 15 hours for no car and no room... so too much for us especially for my special customer who traveled with me this trip.

A nice little find when the hotels were full in Manchester due to Oasis gig! Nice king size bed and a dark room with good curtains to block out light. Room has everything you need. Parking is on site, free and ample. The grounds are beautiful too, which I saw more of next day and spent some time before setting off on my journey. Room was traditional but needs some attention, broken lamp, television not tuned in. Good tea tray with glass bottled water (sustainable) and Border biscuits! Comfortable stay and would stay again!

Properties in a beautiful setting, but the rooms themselves are very tired and dated and needs upgrading asap

I had an enjoyable stay, the staff were friendly, the service excellent, the food good but let down by old furniture and decor in the room. I would stay again, if a better room was available.

Lobby, gardens and front of house lovely...room smelt musty, t.v. ariel faulty, no picture. Wallpaper coming off wall in parts and marks on paper where other guest threw tea bags into bin and i guess missed. Breakfast, food was luke warm, no water for a cup of tea.. Overall not worth 140.00 for one night

There aren’t enough words to say how very lovely and charming our stay was. From the staff to the grounds to the accommodations and food everything was spot on! We will definitely be returning at for a longer period of time.

comfy bed and quiet room, little dated and bathroom was tired

I stay here quite often. Having stayed in most hotels in the UK i can say this hotel is one i am happy to return to. Staff friendly, room plus half board is great value and the food is great.

We spent a total of 5 nights and Enjoyed our stay. Room was very big, clean but dated and tired, a four poster bed which I’m not keen on having a lot of heavy fabric hanging over my head in bed. It was however very comfortable, quiet and cosy. The bathroom again, dated with a shower over a roll tap bath which means lots of shower curtain to fight with whist showering, also even the bathroom was huge it was lacking somewhere for our toiletries. We ate in the bar and restaurant and food was very good as was breakfast. It’s a beautiful building but could do with some TLC in most of the areas particularly the entrance and reception which in believe will be happening sometime soon. Would stay again.

Easy access to Manchester Airport (10 min). Lovely grounds, great breakfast options (fee) and quiet area. It has a few years on it but our room (executive) was clean and well appointed. Nice bathroom. Small bar/pub area. The gardens are nice for a wee stroll. Would stay again.

I stayed half board and the food choices and quality was excellent. Room was big and comfy. Staff were polite and friendly. Only small gripe was that I stayed in room 334 and directions to and from the room were tricky. See you again soon. Paul M

1 star deducted due to need to change room after check in as the allocated room contained a pair of exposed electric wires which had been disconnected from the hand basin mirror in the bathroom and left close to the water taps. Everything else was absolutely fine.

Would of given a 5 but for some reason no advertising of bar food and when i looked at the menu it was what we wanted we ordered a taxi to go to Knutsford but then was told they had bar food but we decided to go out. Would be nice if the bar food was highlighted in the bar area.

Stayed for one night on way from London to Falkirk. Outside, and shared spaces (bar and kitchen) nicely kept, furniture comfortable. Our room (3 adults) was great size, beds were comfy, was clean, but walls needed some attention in bedroom and bathroom (cold/damp marks and paint flaking). Staff were great.

Decent hotel with good service.

Decent location and quiet. Comfortable rooms and generally well equipped. Breakfast was cooked to order and very good. Poor coffee and a lot of black mould in the bathroom (ceiling) and lower corner of the room. TV not working. Mentioned to reception on checkout but the lady didn’t seem surprised and no apology given.

All staff at the hotel were friendly and welcoming. We booked a room for 3 adults which was clean, really large and spacious with partial views of the lake. Shower was great, really powerful.Variety of teas, coffees and biscuits to choose from in the room. Breakfast buffet was delicious with lots of variety to choose from from continental and cooked breakfast. Hotel grounds are beautiful, well kept and cared for.
