Incredible place for food, wine and relaxing

Amazing place

35 years after last staying at this place, we returned for a long weekend. Perfect staff, remarkable food in a Michelin starred restaurant, and lovely grounds. The pool was warm, the breakfast presented in a unique manner. The return visit lived up to the anticipation. Not sure we should wait 35 years before returning again!

Smukt hotel med dejlig stor park og skønt poolområde til afslapning. Sødt personale. Fantastisk Michelin-restaurant der serverer mad i topklasse. Personalet i Michelin-restauranten var ikke uddannet til at servere, så det gav lidt udfordringer. Virkelig dejlig morgenmad. Parkering på stedet. Ulempen ved stedet er, at det ligger i en lille bitte by lang ude på landet, og der er ikke nogen alternativ restaurant/brasserie til f.eks. frokost og aftensmad. Vi boede der 3 nætter, og var hele familien afsted incl 2 børn, så vi savnede virkelig et alternativ restaurant mæssigt, så vi ikke skulle spise på Michelin 3 dage i træk både frokost og aftensmad.

High end hotel. Very clean and pristine

Perfect. All staff of hotel was so kind and helpful. The castle was so lovely, and well managed. Breath-taking view and super delicious meals. Everyone should stay this castle.

Pretty noisy as the walls are very thin. You can hear everything going on in the rooms near by. Also the bed was very small. No tea and coffee in the room . Parking was excellent and the staff were Pleasant.

We stayed there one night Show and found the location very convenient and the accommodations comfortable.

The room was small, tired, dated and very cold. We booked the Michelin Star restaurant for our 40th anniversary dinner. What a disappointment. We booked the table for 7.30 and were taken through to a snug where we were offered drinks and menus. We were with another couple who were taken through to the dining room by a member of staff, We agreed on the tasting menu. Unfortunately there wasn’t a wine flight with the tasting menu but the sommelier said he would organise something. We had some appetisers and finished our drinks and waited for a member of staff to take us through to the dining room, and waited. At 8.30 I walked through to the dining area to find what was going on. We had waited so long we contemplated just going back to our room and calling it a night. The waiter explained he was waiting for us. No apology. That was the way they ran service. Why book a table for 7.30 if you were going to sit in a snug for an hour? I believe we had been forgotten. The food we had did not merit a star. Very acidic. Nice to look at, but really strange combinations. The next day on leaving we explained our issues and were met with indifference. It was explained we don’t like to rush people through and we like the customer to enjoy their drinks as they have a policy of not taking drinks through to the dining room. Again no apology. The Manager did not seem to understand that you only get one 40th wedding anniversary. We will definitely not be returning.

The building has the perfect “oldness” about it, to me this very, old & grand structure has the perfect maintenance program. Loved every section of this facility.

Small, boutique hotel in the countryside, 30 minutes from Rheims. The staff are superlative. The restaurant earned it’s star and the country setting is quiet and relaxing. If you want a quiet, calm base to explore the Champagne region, this is your place. Tres bon!

The whole trip should be planned around your dinner and champagne sampling at this beautiful property. Everything, especially the history, is fabulous, but the food elevates the experience to an out-of-body experience. The staff is incredible, and I really appreciated the tour and the appreciation for so much history at the chateau.
