Great location with plenty of onsite parking. Would recommend.

We always stay at the Royal Hotel if we are in WSM for the night. In terms of being in a central location it can't be beaten. It's a traditional and spacious hotel. The staff always go above and beyond to assist you. It's a beautiful, old building. We had a twin room and the bathroom was larger than my living room. Wonderful sea views. I miss the view already! Very highly recommended. Haven't tried the food sadly but it looks delicious!

The staff were helpful and friendly on first arriving - the room was clean and suitable - the bar staff were friendly - We ate the Carvery on Sundsy which was lovely and we also had breakfast in the morning which was also lovely - make sure to book for evening meal as its very popular

Everything good, perfect spot for shops bars and beach.

Property and furnishings dated . Cobwebs in room, threadbare carpet,mattress needs replacement

The room was very dated and needs a lot of fixing and bringing up to standard, lampshades disintegrating and broken fan. Mattress worn thin and very uncomfortable. The room was dirty upon arrival, floors hadn't been vacuumed or mopped. However, staff were all friendly and happy to help and there was a good selection of tea/coffee available.

The room was clean and tidy, spacious, bed was lumpy, and there is a green light on all night so room is never dark. Staff were very polite and friendly. Restaurant was very hit and miss with there opening times. But plenty of other Restaurants outside hotel. Breakfast had limited cereals, cooked breakfast had overcooked sausages and bacon and was overpriced at £17. Register your car at reception for free parking, this is a bonus for being so close to sea front. If you have a room overlooking square then be aware that the bar opposite is open with music until 2.30am.

Room was lovely. We had a suite overlooking the square. Parking was free and felt safe to leave car all weekend.

Water plug inoperable in hand basin

Try get a Seaview room as if your facing the town it's very noisy. Also mattresses very cheap and uncomfortable. Decor needs refreshing and a larger TV, something bigger than a shoe box

Stayed many times in recent years and have never experienced any major issues. This time our room (310) was booked on the third floor which was not accessible via the lift and as I have mobility problems I asked for one that was. The lady on reception found us a suitable one (205) quickly. Excellent service from her and all the other staff members we had dealings with during our stay !!

Dirty sock left in room by previous occupant! Bath chipped and rusty so couldn't have a bath. Usually bottled water in hotel rooms, not here. Disappointing as not enough milk pots provided for the tea and coffee. Breakfast sausages and beans dried up. Toaster says do not adjust setting so toast was burnt!

Staff made you feel really welcome, were helpful and friendly. Family room was freshly renovated and very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing, plenty of choice, fresh quality cooked breakfast ingredients and very good value for money. Would definitely recommend to others.

The parking is good and staff very nice, rooms are clean just dated but it’s fine

Old and dilapidated. The carpet in the bedroom was in terrible condition. There are several bars right outside the hotel and so we were kept awake until 2:00am each night by drunken revellers. The staff were very nice and eager to help especially at breakfast each morning.
