Schooner Resort was a nice albeit slightly dated property. Between the property and the ocean is a very active public park that has tennis and paddleball courts. What appears to be a local paddleball club keeps the courts full every morning and they are fun to watch. The full kitchen is well stocked and our unit included beach chairs, a cooler and lots of beach towels. The beach by the property isn't the greatest beach on the island though, so be prepared to drive to one of the other wonderful Maui beaches with those supplies!

We enjoyed it very much. Loved having a ground floor room.

Safe location and quiet

Perfect location in Kihei

The gardens & pool area at this resort are lovely. It's also right on the beach, complete with turtles. We experienced a couple of issues with our room but they were quickly (and satisfactorily) addressed. There is plenty of parking, the furniture is comfy and the kitchen was well-stocked and had new appliances which was great for preparing meals. Overall, a nice place to stay.

The property is in a great location, clean and well managed.

Paid for Oceanview. Got the bottom floor looking at a bush and a large tree. To make matters worse, we were placed directly beside the pool; the unit had no bathroom fan, and pickleball was being played every morning outside our suite. No room cleaning service at all. We were told to sweep our room or pay more. Additionally, there were noisy kids beside us on their deck and in front of our suite the entire week. The staff were friendly, which was the only positive aspect of the experience. The hotel will be very inflexible on late check out.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Maui Schooner Resort. Our family of 4 had a great time, we enjoyed the property as well as the amenities. The staff was wonderful, super friendly, and helpful.

Lovely condo property. Amenities are wonderful. Staff are friendly and helpful. Beach is a short walk. Great location for outings in all directions. Amazing views especially great for Sunsets!

The property is not fancy, but it is functional. Rooms come with good washing and drying machines and an excellent assortment of cooking equipment. The ability to walk to stores and restaurants is limited through no fault of the property. Rather, the problem is that sidewalks on South Kihei Road are limited, and they simply don't exist on some parts of the road. Walking in the shoulder of the road at night does feel dangerous. The property was generally clean, but the fan blades were very dirty—it seems that they have never been cleaned. The front-office staff was friendly and helpful.
