Vibe was great. Pool was great. Gated parking lot was great. Location was great too. Convenient to downtown and City Park.

It was an awesome place to stay.

Parking is not included, unless specified. AC was a bit noisy, but did an excellent job. The guy on staff was friendly and helpful. I really appreciated him.

Noise came from a club nearby

This was my second time staying at The Iris Motel and it didn’t disappoint. I love the art deco decor as well as the gated parking. We will definitely be back.

The people were amazing. The staff was excellent. The neighborhood is a little questionable, but for the most part overall it was good. The room smelt like somebody had smoked cigarettes whether it was long ago or recent and there was no closed room for the bathroom. It was open with a sliding door, no privacy truly. the pool was excellent a huge plus!!

It was a convenient location. The rooms are really small for two people to navigate. The air cooling unit was so loud that we could not sleep without wearing earplugs or suffering through the heat. When we complained about the noise, we were offered either a sound machine or a box fan. This led me to believe the problem was already noted and the room was rented anyway.

It's a nice little spot in a kind of weird area - never felt unsafe or anything like that but kind of industrial. I wish check out time was at least an hour later, but other than that no complaints!

Loud college type /club hangout right next door. As for transportation, the nearest trolley is about half a mile from motel on canal street so expect to walk half a mile on lots of uneven and broken sidewalks in very darkened areas at night. The motel is adorably redone with a vintage vibe, comfortable bed and soft pillows. Loved the pool area for chilling out. They have an enclosed parking area that you feel safe since you need access code to get into the parking area as well as your room.

So the office staff my first day was on point! He was FANTASTIC! My stay however, first room I was given; was dirty, no big deal changed switch rooms, new room “clean room “

Das Motel war sauber und das Personal sehr freundlich. Der Pool war sauber und schön gestaltet. Leider war das Zimmer für 2 Queensize - Betten zu klein. Parkmöglichkeit war sehr gut und rund um die Uhr bewacht.

I was a bit concerned about the area after reading some previous reviews, but staying in a gated hotel made us feel safe and comfortable. We spent most of our time exploring historical sites and only came back to the hotel to sleep. The hotel was quiet and nice, with very few people around during our stay. The room was clean and had everything we needed, including a small fridge and a coffee maker. The staff were friendly and helpful, even though I only spoke with them over the phone!

Nicely remodeled small motel and good access to the French Quarter areas by public transportation. Economical due to its location near the city but also easy access to leave the city.

Unique place- surprisingly quiet and close to midcity. Great communication with no contact check in and checkout.
