Charming and quiet hotel in a great area to walk and explore. The staff are all lovely and helpful. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

Staff were helpful and very attentive. Breakfast was buffet style , basic but sufficient- meats, cheese, cereal, fruit, cake and eggs. Scrambled and fried eggs on request. Coffee machine served hot drinks. Eating area clean and quiet. Room 5 was very spacious, bed large and comfortable. Only let down was a mark on the ceiling from a previous leak above but did not detract from our overall experience. Cleaned daily with fresh towels. Staircase steep but help was on hand if needed to carry luggage. Honesty bar on floor 1 with beer , wine, pay on leaving. Very quiet location but near some very good restaurants (1 Michelin) and good bars. Angelina and Joao were very friendly and how staff used to be by wanting you to have a good experience. We would recommend and visit here again without hesitation. A very chilled boutique hotel.

The hotel is in a great location in a wonderful part of Lisbon with loads of cafes, restaurants, wine bars and more! The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive and the breakfast in the morning was very hearty and delicious- even our kids liked it!

I recently had a truly wonderful stay at 1869 Principe Real. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere of the hotel provided a perfect sanctuary within the city. The Accommodations My room was exceptional—very well-appointed, airy, and filled with natural light. It felt incredibly spacious and was kept immaculately clean throughout my visit. Despite being in such a vibrant city, the hotel is located in a remarkably quiet area, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. Dining & Service • Breakfast: The morning meal featured a good offering with plenty of variety to start the day right. • The Staff: While Lisboetas are by nature kind and hospitable, the team here is on another level. The true gems of the hotel are the receptionists: Joao, Angelino, and Mariana. These three take the prize for being the most warm and welcoming people in town. Their genuine care and hospitality made a lasting impression on my trip. If you are looking for a blend of elegance and genuine Portuguese warmth, I cannot recommend this hotel enough. I look forward to returning!

Great location, but the staff were the real bonus. Went above and beyond to help with advice, reservations, etc.

Only had the chance to stay for the evening, but loved our brief time at 1869 Principe. Room was massive, clean, an had tons of natural light. Will be staying here the next time we’re in Lisbon!

The room was beautiful — high ceilings, lots of natural light. Tasteful decor. Comfortable bed. The staff was absolutely wonderful and made us feel at home and gave us lots of tips for where to eat. Steps away from lots of bars, restaurants and shops. Stay here!

Location is perfect and right in the middle of everything. It is an old classic home that has been converted into hotel rooms. Manager was very nice and helpful as well.

The room was very clean and we had a very good breakfast. John was fantastic and very helpful. He was there when we checked in. Mr. Angelino is also fantastic and very helpful. He speaks very good Dutch ! We loved it. Those two men and the rest of the staff make your hotel. The only recommendation I have is to replace the big coffee machine. The Nespresso coffee is great. It is a lovely place to stay and highly recommended.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and they serviced it daily when we were out. The hotel is also in a great location in the city. Overall I would highly recommend it as a great option in Lisbon.

Herlig, lite hotell med god, personlig service fra en dedikert stab. Flott, stort rom med fire meter takhøyde, store vinduer og balkong i rolig sidegate. Ekstremt sentralt plassert i et område med massevis av restauranter og barer, men lilevel helt støyfritt. God og frisk frokost med variasjon fra dag til dag. Det eneste minuset er at det ikke er noen oppvarming på badet. Et stort baderom med den takhøyden ble kaldt for oss som besøkte hotellet midtvinters. Ellers et svært anbefalelsesverdig hotell som vi gjerne kommer tilbake til!

Room was spacious, beautiful, and felt so luxurious. I'm shocked at the value for the price! I travel a lot, but the staff here were possibly the kindest, and most hospitable I've met. It really felt like coming home each each night. The location was incredibly convenient, and I was able to walk to almost everywhere I wanted to go. Also, the wifi was incredibly strong! Will absolutely stay here again, it was such a delight.

Very nice stay. Location was calm and perfect, a short distance to the busiest streets, with a lot of nice cafes. The staff was 10/10, incredibly helpsome and friendly. Always a smile when coming to breakfast. Thanks for making the stay in Lisbon even better.
