We truly did enjoy some aspects of our stay, and we appreciate the opportunity to visit your property. However, I wanted to share a few concerns that unfortunately impacted our experience: The floors were quite dirty—walking barefoot left our feet black. None of the fireplaces were working, which was disappointing. The water in the jetted tub came out yellow, so we weren’t comfortable using it. The sheets provided for the hide-a-bed were dirty, and the down stairs hide-a-bed was unusable. The fans upstairs were extremely loud and made it difficult to sleep. We completely understand that things can occasionally be missed, but given the number and nature of the issues, we feel a partial refund would be appropriate. Fix the water smell. Make sure your guests have hand soap. Make sure they know about the $100 deposit before the stay.

I took my 7-year old daughter for two nights. She had fun at the water park and enjoyed the movie theater! The resort is run down though. The lobby and restaurant seemed updated, but the rooms, grounds and water park need some love.

Great water park clean facilities and close to starved rock . Perfect place for families

We called to see if we could check in a few hours early, the lady who answered the phone was extremely rude. Other then that it was excellent

Great service,great place super friendly staff they have make me feel like home ……..thank you so much I had great time(housekeeping,front desk and especially the life guards very professional,grand bear resort just became my favorite vacation destination.

Super hot out with no A/C. The television didn't work in other rooms and we had no internet. They comped us free mini golf passes but ut still didn't make up for the experience.

Great little indoor water park, we all enjoyed. The staff we interacted with seemed to not like working there and did minimal to ensure our stay was good.

The food was terrible at both the cafe and Jack’s restaurant . There didn’t seem to be enough staff at the resort. The place needs renovation. It is so much different than what is pictured on-line. The waterpark was fun, though. TV/streaming was very slow - took a long time “buffering” We won’t be returning.

Nice room that had a refrigerator and microwave, clean and spacious, restaurant has good food, nice water park, not super crowded.

Nice place, great front desk and food & beverage staff. But the facility seems understaffed and managed. We enjoyed the indoor waterpark.

There is so much do here! I love that it is out of any city limits. You dont need to leave, they have everything you may need. Live music Friday and Saturday! 2 types of eateries. My son and I even got to watch a movie friday night! Totally worth it!

Racism at its finest! Staff sent the Mexican receptionist at the front desk to do all the dirty work. Very rude customer service horrible! Sun down town is what it felt like !! People of any color should not be out after the sun is down!! I would not send my dog to stay there 👎

Great place to stay when visiting the state park

Villas bathroom, kitchen really really needs updates. Looks like was updated 10 years ago. Didn’t want to take a shower at the villa. Out side mini golf needs updates, lanscaping

Room was very clean. Everything worked in the room. (E.g. fireplace and hot tub.) Only thing that was really disappointing was the day of checkout we went to the Jack’s restaurant located in the establishment. We were there around 8:15a. Only a family there before we got there. We were able to order our drinks. Shortly after receiving our drinks we placed our food order. My alarm rang while there which I had set up for 8:30a to get breakfast before checkout at 11a. Shortly after us another family walked in and a young couple. I noticed that the couple that came after us had received their food and drinks before us. It came to be 9:20a when the server came by and said I’m sorry for the delay we’re going to offer you 25% off your food order and if it’s not out shortly we’ll just not charge you for the food. I asked like hmm I’ve been waiting an hour already like is it going to be long because like I waited already or if not cancel it. So she said she didn’t know but I was ready to go so me and my boy friend left. Really upsetting because we were there the night before and everything was good and ok. Just hoped that it didn’t end my vacation on that sour note.

Loved property. Room comfortable. The only issue is the toilets. They are so low to the ground.
