Myself and my partner were really impressed by the beautiful decor at Lanelay Hall the hotel and our room was very spacious - the biggest room I’ve ever had whilst staying at a hotel. The happy birthday treats and petals were a really kind lovely touch too. The location was disappointing as we pulled up to the hotel gates in a housing estate (our expectation was a countryside hotel). Also one of the skylight blinds was broken in our room and left a gaping hole of bright light into the room which woke us up at 5:30am on our special night away. Overall a beautiful hotel and great service but location and the broken blind disturbing our sleep really put a dampener on our stay.

Staff were exceptionally courteous. The room had not been cleaned due to room tag had blown off door. Not a good system.

There was only one chair in the bedroom so nowhere for us to sit with a drink. Separate bedside light controls would be useful .Otherwise very comfortable .

Very , very nice place to stay- quieter hotel perfect for a relaxing getaway. Staff are very friendly and helpful there also and make you feel very welcome. Superb breakfast provided also, with great choice and the best products also. While here you must eat at Blok restaurant, it is an experience you must have if you are a Steak lover.

Lucky to get a complimentary upgrade on our room. Room was superb, bed and pillows really comfortable. Staff were all extremely helpful, breakfast was freshly cooked and of a really high standard.

Beautiful boutique hotel. Hard to know where to start, property itself is stunning, decor in all areas is excellent. On arrival reception staff were very welcoming and informative. Rooms are large and very comfortable. Bar is good, prices reasonable and excellent choice. Spa is well appointed. Fantastic evening meal in Blok restaurant, food superb, staff attentive, informative and friendly. Breakfast also very good, again staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. Overall, an outstanding place for a couple to take a relaxing break

Lovely hotel beautifully presented. Spa was a disappointment as couldn’t use the outdoor section and no seating area remained at time of use. Only access the pool which was cold and could simply stand in the water. Left after 15 minutes. Visited the bar as the restraint is closed on Tuesdays. Very slow service. Went through the entirety of the dinner service without a drink and food was not presented hot. Eventually received our drinks after a number of follow ups in Tim to take to the room. Clearly a staffing issue. Really blighted the evening which was to celebrate my partners birthday. Was so looking forward to our visit but unfortunately was left bitterly disappointed.

Parking

The breakfast was a disaster. I've got Celiac Disease and l told the lady servicing me that l was gluten free. She said she would get me some gluten free toast which l said thank you. I ordered the avocado & eggs on toast but after l ate my breakfast l released that l was given normal gluten sour dough bread. After l finished my breakfast she came over & asked if l was gluten free which l replied yes & she said oh with a worried look on her face. Me & my husband both said to eachother l think she served me normal gluten bread. There was another couple who was having breakfast & the lady was also gluten free & she got gluten free bread. I was very frustrated & upset that she didn't take me serious & couldn't even come over & apologise for what she knew she had done. Being Celiac is not a joke & now since returning home I've had stomach cramps & feeling very sick. Hopefully you can train all staff about this serious condition. Apart from the breakfast the hotel is lovely.

Great few days at Laneley Hall

Booked an upgraded room and was given the disabled room. Asked to have a different room but they would not swap me. Hotel restaurant is beautiful presented and the food in Blok was superb. Staff in the spa were quite rude and did not provide me with a towel, suggesting I use a room towel?

Everything worked well and very attentive staff . Breakfast service and choice was excellent .

Brilliant stay, very hospitable and special shout out to the wonderful breakfast server. She went above and beyond, sorry we didn’t catch her name. She made it a great end to a lovely trip. Thanks all!
