This was our 2nd stay this year at Knoll. Our last one was in Feb. We love the quirkiness of the place. Yes it is pretty shabby and tired in several areas but the bed was comfy and the rooms clean even if outdated. It is definitely the most dog friendly hotel we've stayed in. This stay we were in one of the garden suites overlooking the outside pool and surrounding countryside and in the early evening witnessed the field of deer. This room was perfect if we needed to take the dogs out in the night for a wee (last stay we were in the Main House). The negative to being in an outside room was we had no WiFi and our phone signals weren't great but hey maybe thats a good thing in this day and age and meant we chilled out more. The TV also only had a few channels that worked. We really felt like we had stepped back in time. All the staff we met were lovely and dinner was delicious. We enjoy that it is freshly cooked food of great quality and a changing menu if there for more than one night. You do need to book a table in the separate dog friendly area if you want to take them with you rather than leave them in the room and there are only 7 tables in that area so make sure you don't leave it too late to prebook. Breakfast choice was fantastic and there is a huge variety of choice. The hot buffet part was kept fresh and piping hot. Overall another great stay but I do appreciate its a love it or hate it place and not for everyone so do your research first!!!

We absolutely loved our stay here. I cannot understand the negative reviews. Yes the place is shabby in places but if you want a modern, soulless hotel there are plenty across the water. There really aren’t many places like this left and I do hope it stays as it is (I hear there are plans for development) the staff were lovely, especially the waiter helping with breakfast this morning (07/09) the quality of the breakfast was top notch, lovely and hot and cooked to perfection. We had a sea view suite which was a bit tired but was spacious and had the most comfortable beds. I had the best sleep I’ve had in a long time and woke to the most beautiful view. The outdoor pool provided a lovely pre-breakfast swim, the pool attendant/ maintenance man was lovely and super helpful. All in all 10/10. Thank you so much for a wonderful, unforgettable stay. We will return .

ไปพักผ่อนแบบไปเช้าเย็นกลับมา โรงแรมที่งงที่สุดเท่าที่เคยเจอมาเลย ถ้าพูดตรงๆ มันให้ความรู้สึกเหมือนอยู่ในซีรีส์ Fawlty Towers ทำเลที่ตั้งดีเยี่ยม แต่ถ้าคุณไม่ได้นั่งหันหน้าออกถนนด้านหน้าโรงแรม คุณจะมองไม่เห็นมันเลย ที่จอดรถก็โอเค แต่ต้องเตรียมใจที่จะหาที่จอดระหว่างต้นไม้ด้วย อย่างแรกเลย ขอให้โชคดีในการหาแผนกต้อนรับ นั่นเป็นปัญหาแรกและเป็นประสบการณ์ในตัวเองเลย บรรยากาศเหมือนยุค 60 และฉันแน่ใจว่ามันสวยงามมากในตอนนั้น แต่แทบไม่มีอะไรได้รับการปรับปรุงเลยตั้งแต่นั้นมา คำว่า "สปา" นั้นกว้างมาก สระว่ายน้ำในร่มฉันไม่กล้าเข้าไปเลย รวมถึงจากุซซี่ด้วย ห้องซาวน่าฉันไม่ได้ใช้เพราะรีวิวเก่าๆ บอกเรื่องกลิ่น และเพื่อนของฉันกำลังท้องอยู่จึงใช้ไม่ได้ สระว่ายน้ำกลางแจ้งก็โอเค มีที่นั่งเยอะ แต่ควรปรับปรุงให้ทันสมัยกว่านี้ ผ้าเช็ดตัวเป็นสีน้ำตาลแปลกๆ แต่ก็สะอาด ห้องเปลี่ยนเสื้อผ้ามีแค่ 3 ห้องพร้อมม่านกั้น ห้องน้ำ แผ่นรองเปลี่ยนผ้าอ้อมเด็ก และเก้าอี้ แค่นั้นเอง ไม่ค่อยวุ่นวาย มีครอบครัว คู่รัก และแขกของโรงแรมอยู่บ้าง แต่ก็ไม่เสียงดังหรือวุ่นวายเกินไป ไปทานอาหารกลางวันที่ร้านอาหาร (เมื่อหาเจอแล้ว) ต้องบอกว่าพนักงานทุกคนที่เราเจอใจดีและเป็นมิตรมาก ยกเว้นคนหนึ่งที่ดูไม่ค่อยพอใจที่เรานั่งข้างในโต๊ะที่เขาจัดไว้สำหรับอาหารเย็น แต่ก็มีป้ายบอกชัดเจนอยู่แล้ว แถมไม่มีที่นั่งข้างนอกนอกจากม้านั่งปิกนิก (ซึ่งไม่เหมาะนักสำหรับแขกที่กำลังตั้งครรภ์) อย่างไรก็ตาม พนักงานบาร์เป็นมิตรมากและบอกว่าไม่เป็นไร พนักงานที่ให้บริการเราในบริเวณนี้ก็พูดคุยเก่งและเป็นมิตรเช่นกัน อาหารอร่อยมาก สั่งไก่ชุบแป้งทอดที่รสชาติเยี่ยมและจัดจานได้สวยงามมาก เมื่อพิจารณาว่าจานนั้นราคา 20 ปอนด์ และ "แพ็คเกจ" ทั้งหมดราคา 38 ปอนด์ ถือว่าคุ้มค่าเพราะอาหารและพนักงาน โรงแรมแปลกมาก "แพ็คเกจ" ก็แปลก แต่สำหรับราคา 38 ปอนด์ก็ "เป็นอย่างที่มันเป็น" อาจจะให้คะแนน 3/5 หรืออาจจะต่ำกว่า 2/5 ด้วยซ้ำ (นอกจากนี้ ฉันได้ตรวจสอบราคาห้องพักค้างคืนแล้ว ปรากฏว่าไม่ใช่โรงแรมราคา 300 ปอนด์ต่อคืนอย่างแน่นอน)

The restaurant and breakfast was the best dining experience ever! The staff were very nice (especially Aiden) and there were lots of extraordinary great services like working 20 year old Apple Mac computers, table tennis,pool table, pianos, tortoises that you can see and tennis courts. I had few problems like the facts that at the swimming pools you could not see your feet which makes me worry about the cleanliness and the slight oldness of the whole place which I feel should be a little refurbished considering the price but still keep the old style. Overall, it was a lovely experience that I will never forget.
