Pros - location. Cons - as before... right on the main street. Noise from traffic and late night revellers.

Is there a level above excellent? the staff were the nicest people one could meet and the home style cooking was made with love if you are going to be in Cavan do yourself a favour and book The Farnham Arms hotel- it’s simple and honest and totally authentic - I felt that I was Irish for a day Great job and good luck to the whole team

Staff was over the top lovely from the check in, to the restaurant and bar and room staff to breakfast. Loved every apart of the stay.

A hotel of this cost, in todays world, should be reasonably comfortable. If there was competition they would go broke. Facilities poorly maintained and serviced w the cheapest things possible. The owner is obviously a v cheap person!

From the moment we stepped into the hotel the cleanliness from the foyer through to the rooms was excellent. The professionalism, helpfulness and 'nothing is to much trouble' attitude of all staff was second to none. The breakfast, lunches and dinner were well thought out and excellent. I would highly recommend a stay at the Farnham Arms Hotel.

Quaint and interesting older hotel that hosts weekly traditional Irish jam sessions in their dining room with local participants. The manager was kind enough to coordinate the loan of a guitar for me when we travelled to nearby towns for a few days. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the room was clean and comfortable.

Lovely stay

Un hotel historico, sin embargo tambien el olor lo es, te hace saber que en el hotel se fumaba. Los baños están reformados, pero la limpieza no fue la mejor. Son esos hoteles que no quieres tocar nada o caminar. En el hotel entero y la zona donde duermes tiene una alfombra que muestra los ultimos 60 años de historia y hace tiempo que no se hace una limpieza profunda. Las sábanas eran recientes pero en un colchon que necesita ser jubilado. En general la amabilidad de algunas personas del hotel fue buena. Quiza es normal para Irlanda.

Staff friendly and helpful food is excellent

It's a grand Hotel right in the centre of the town. Cooked breakfast doesn't start until 9 so we didn't wait for it. We'll be back again next week.
