Friendly and hospitable service in a classic inn which has been cleverly modernised.

Hotel is comfortable, fresh and modern, very clean and good sized rooms.

Our room was lovely and clean bar area adequate but outside areas could do with a bit of TLC breakfast Continental only offer poached eggs and boiled eggs with a selection of croissants, cereals small car park

Stayed with my two dogs. Can’t fault the place - easy parking, lovely big room, excellent food and very dog friendly

A lovely hotel set in a quiet village and what looks like an old house . Lovely rooms with very good facilities . Staff could not have been move helpful and friendly . Would love to come and stay again but a little expensive.

Very nice old inn hotel. Nicely renovated and providing all modern facilties. Excellent restaurant, both dinner and breakfast were fantastic. Very friendly staff. On arrival the room for the three of us was not available due to a technical issue and they gave us two fourposter rooms. Short drive to the Jurassic Coast and also nice small village to take a short walk after dinner or in the morning.

The family suite was a great option for our trip. 2 teenage girls loved their room and we had a fab main-bedroom with superking bed. Bathroom was well equipped - the shower was so very nice - powerful and warm. We enjoyed spending time in the bar / lounge where premium drinks were offered. The team were on hand to help with any requests we may have had. The breakfast offer was really well enjoyed - cooked fresh with personalisation welcomed. We will definitely be back as it gave us access to Dorset and East Devon beaches, as well as nice market towns like Dorchester.

Without doubt the bedroom had the creakiest floorboards, the squeakiest door hinges and the least soundproofed floor. You could hear everything in the bar below.

A lovely experience. The building is historical and beautiful and the staff warm and welcoming. Fantastic breakfast is available, but if you are having dinner, check first, for instance they don’t do dinner in the evening on Sunday. The village is also beautiful and has options for dining. The beer garden is a great space to chill out.

The Ollerod is a delightful hotel. The staff were incredibly helpful, we were shown personally to our room on arrival. The room was lovely, with a beautiful rug on the floor and fantastic bed. Incredibly comfortable. The whole hotel was very clean and everything was done to comply with new Covid rules. Unfortunately this did mean no tea in the rooms, no toiletries or hairdryer but these were available on request and we were warned ahead of our arrival so were able to make arrangements. We also had dinner in the restaurant which was superb, a good size menu and the food was excellent. Wine was reasonably priced too. Food delivery and empty plate removal was well organised with a separate table besides ours to facilitate. Plus Beaminster is a lovely village to look around and very quiet I'm sure we will be back

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We stayed in an annex room that was rather small and not very well presented. There was no a/c and fortunately the weather was warm for the time of year because there was no heating. The gardens were a real asset but needed some TLC. Overall we had a pleasant stay but the Covid situation did have an effect on the room service and breakfast choice.

Lots of lovely different areas. Superb meal in restaurant. Staff all very friendly. Coach rooms are very small and bathroom compact.

Had a lovely time in this great hotel. Amazing breakfast and dinners. Thank yo for looking after us at this tricky time for the hospitality industry. We will look forward to a second visit.

Excellent stay and wonderful meals. A little noisy in the early evening but our room was positioned as such; had no impact on sleep or the overall stay. Would certainly return and have recommended.
