Interesting drive to find but worth the journey. Room spotless staff very welcoming food exceptional. Will certainly stay again in the future.

Lovely country pub just outside of Hay on Wye, easy short drive into the town (we were there for the Winter Festival). Owners were great, really friendly - room was comfortable and warm, and the food was fantastic. Really tasty with fresh local ingredients. Would definitely stay there again.

A lovely place to stay for a weekend. Food was excellent and all homemade.

This hotel had a lovely old pub atmosphere downstairs, and the bedroom and bathroom were clean and modern. The food was good and the staff were lovely. And the location was beautiful.

Everything about this place was excellent, the hosts couldn't be more welcoming and helpful, food was excellent, the downside was we missed lunch due to their opening hours but totally understand why they close at a certain time

Beautiful quiet South Wales village Roast ox inn has some real history Rooms basic and comfortable Shower was low pressure and difficult to get to a comfortable temperature Staff very friendly and helpful All meals tasty and of good quality popular with visitors and locals Easy access to many beautiful areas of wales along good roads once out from scenic but narrow roads leading to and from the village itself Easy to find great walks for every experience and age groups close by

The staff are all very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The restaurant is a little dated but the food is excellent quality amd VFM . The room was basic but had bery comfortable beds and was spotlessly clean. We had great nights' sleep. Thank you to great staff and chef

Lovely peaceful location with modern room and excellent food.

The welcome was very warm when we arrived, and having the dog with us was no trouble at all for the landlord or staff who went out of their was to make us feel comfortable. A vsry plrassnt short break..

Great location, amazing food, comfy bed. Shower just needed a bit more power.

Our party of 9 on a walking weekend all had a fantastic time and cannot say enough good things about The Roast Ox! The staff are brilliant and made us so welcome. The atmosphere is lovely with the log burner and cosy beams. The food was delicious and fantastic value. We left as 9 very happy guys already agreeing to come back soon for a repeat visit! What a gem of a place, we were treat like friends throughout our visit by all members of staff rather than just guests which was lovely. The room and all facilities and very clean and fresh and all bedding felt brand new. Free wifi was easy to link to and was fast. The Inn itself has oodles of character and was lovely to eat in front of the toasty fire. The meals were large portions, great for big appetites. Would definitely visit again. Thanks for making us feel so welcome
