Second time in six months staying here for a two night break with our aging Cavapoo. Bedrooms are brightly decorated and supplied with tea, water and biscuits which went down well. Managed to choose a nice few days to sit out in the large beer garden. Food was lovely. Dog appreciated her breakfast sausage. All staff we encountered were friendly and polite. Stairs to the bedrooms fairly steep so could be a struggle for older large dogs - mine’s pickupable despite being weighed down with sausages, so could carry her up/down as she’s starting to struggle on stairs. Bath/shower could do with a handrail to hold onto when stepping in to avoid slipping. And a shame it’s only Carling lager on tap! But we’re looking forward to returning.

Very friendly staff. They had time for you, which I feel in this day and age is unusual. Breakfast to suit you! Very dog friendly ,also good dog walking around, with poo bag dispensers and bins strategically placed around the village

Loved old inn. Staff went over and above to be helpful,dog even had sausage gor breakfast. I found out no lift Expedia said couldn't ca cel without losing my money,when I told them this they said not a problem they would have returned it,again thanks for nothing Expedia. Staff so helpful and helped to get up to bed. Food was to die for had evening meal,lovely fresh cooked menu and breakfast again fabulous. Would recommend and would go again in spite of no lift!

The check in was quick and easy. The breakfast was really good. The room we had was on the front with a big window which was lovely but had to draw curtains for privacy in day. The only criticism was that there was a slight sewer type smell on arrival going up the stairs to the room and also in the morning in the bathroom but otherwise we had a lovely one night stay.

Consistent Pub/Hotel that maintains high standards in Food offering and condition of Bedrooms. My first choice when staying in the area if it has rooms available.

Very accommodating clean food top quality lovely location fan in room great as it was so hot worked well. Will definitely be back to stay here One thing was the stairs to the rooms were steep so if you struggle with stairs.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay very friendly country inn with a lovely garden and play area,food and dining area was excellent.would highly recommend and would definitely return.

What a lovely B&B. Atmospheric and traditionally English. Staff were fantastic, can’t do enough for you. Room was great size and really comfortable. Food was fab. No complaints and would definitely recommend.

Bright and light room refurbed recently and clean. Good food in the pub at a reasonable price. Friendly staff and a great breakfast well cooked.

The breakfast was freshly cooked and piping hot, as well as delicious!! The bar had a good selection of ales and lagers and the food in the restaurant was extremely good and competitively priced.

Excellent hotel, friendly staff, room excellent, with a large walk in Shower. The food was very good with a comfortable dining room and bar and garden space. I would highly recommend this hotel..

We had a lovely stay for 2 nights. Breakfast was lovely and cooked fresh, we had dinner both nights, we can't fault it. The little touches are lovely too, the water and fresh milk in the fridge. We would definitely recommend a stay here and would stay ourselves again.
