Location is great and the staff were lovely but overall a bit disappointed. Glad we booked the room when it was on discount. We wouldn’t stay again. The beds were awful and uncomfortable, springs were noisy with every tiny movement. The curtains in the room were also poor and didn’t block out the light at all meaning we were awake by 5.30am with sunlight streaming in. There was a big crack in the side of the bath and a bit of mould on the bathroom ceiling. Appreciate it’s not advertised as a 5* hotel but the curtains and beds should have been better.

Disability access is terrible, doors were very narrow and extra impossible to open. We requested a bathtub but only a shower in our room but no safety grab rails at all - just a scalding hot radiator at hand!9

Room nice and big in The Lodge. Good choice of breakfast from the menu albeit mushrooms maybe should be included and not a paid for extra. Staff always on it and friendly and helpful. Meal menu has plenty of choice with large portions (try the chicken gyros) plenty of cocktails and and good choice of ales/beers. Plenty of seating inside and out I always stay here when visiting Lowestoft. One of the big draws is the amazing view from the bar/terrace areas. Excellent

Staff were lovely, room was very clean and we much appreciated the 3 mugs as we normally have to ask. My only criticism was the bed wasn’t very comfortable.

So, first of all the English breakfast. Have to pay extra for mushrooms (how rude and hence only 4 stars for it) but a good choice of continental food, cereal, yoghurt, pastries, jams. The room (I stayed in the lodge) very clean and spacious room however the radiator didn't seem to be working although towel rail in bathroom was but there was enough space for a wheelchair. Staff are diligent and friendly (both day and night) and I advised on the faulty socket in my room. I've stayed here before and I will again.

I paid for deluxe quadruple rm so should of had double & 2 single beds & instead got double & bunk beds.My autistic son had to have double so i had to sleep in bottom bunk.

The hotel was exactly what we needed for a family wedding.

This ia not a room, its a coffin No window, no air con It was unbearably hot and stuffy in the room and there was no way to rectify it One of the worst nights sleep in recent memory I stayed in "the Lodge" across the road from the main hotel. The room badly needs air conditioning if there is no window.

Great spot, walking distance from seaside

Room for 4 adults was good in Hatfield lodge, although not much of view on it unless if you’re in Hatfield Hotel. Facilities looks new, just stone throw from the seaside, breakfast is great and resto staffs are very accomodating and friendly. There are no staff by the reception in the Lodge, therefore you have to go to the Hatfield hotel to check in and get your access card. There is only one card given to occupants so if someone wants to stay behind when you want to go out you can’t take the access card with you as it will swithed off the electric power in the room. Perhaps we never tried asking for spare access card as only stayed overnight.
