The hotel is fantastic. It worths to stay only at the hotel amenities, and forget about the environment around it.

Very classic hotel. Like the old key style

This is a beautiful old hotel with great, helpful staff. Even the standard rooms are very large and clean. I was given an unexpected credit for food which I used on room service and coffee at the bar, which were both quick and nicely done. I also tried the spa which is small but staff pleasant. Know the hotel is on a busy street (though convenient!) and my lower floor room was noisy and is showing a bit of age - in the bathroom where stuff is a bit scuffed, the quaint keys required some jostling, and the gym which is small with hot with older equipment. I’d love to see them add in room coffee machines, beyond tea and the small mini bar.

If I could give 10 stars, I absolutely would. From the moment we arrived, the service at El Palace Barcelona was exceptional. The concierge and bell staff truly made our stay unforgettable. They were warm, welcoming, knowledgeable, and always eager to help with recommendations, reservations, directions, or anything else we needed. Their hospitality elevated an already incredible experience. The hotel itself is stunning—beautifully maintained, impeccably clean, and full of timeless elegance. Every detail reflects the rich history and luxury of the property while still feeling comfortable and inviting. The rooms were spotless, the common areas were gorgeous, and the overall atmosphere made us feel like we were staying somewhere truly special. Our stay exceeded every expectation, and it was the perfect place to celebrate a memorable trip. We would return to El Palace Barcelona without hesitation and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Barcelona. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so wonderful.

Only problem phone charging

Fantastic hotel, great location, but be careful in the Gothic area, I got mugged for my Rolex watch, don't ever bring valuables. The thieves are professionals and super fast.

The property is no way a 5 star property. Good staff, clean property but lots need to be done with renovations and maintaining. The shower area is very poorly designed. Shower shoots out the water to the floors outside( the glass fixtures donot cover the spray), also the tub is raised( if we had problems not sure what the seniors would do) The doors have electronic keys but they seldom work properly

ESPECTACULAR! Hacia mucho no nos quedamos en un hotel tan bonito y con el mejor servicio del mundo! Desde la llegada te hacen sentir en casa! Nos dejaron una botella de cava en el cuarto a nuestra llegada, no faltó detalle! Sin duda lo recomiendo muchísimo y seguro regresamos muy pronto!

Great location.

The facility was lovely. The staff was not what one would expect. At 6pm after our arrival following a long day of driving, we were told there was no room for us to have a drink at the bar. The following morning, we sat so long for breakfast without having our order taken that we finally left without being served. Despite our flagging down the server after 20 minutes and letting her know that we were ready to order, we saw her do five different things including clean a table and seat a person elsewhere who had just arrived, so we left before she came to take our order.

This was by far the nicest hotel I’ve ever stayed at in my entire life! The staff was extremely helpful and kind they made the check in and check out process easy. The room was pretty clean and had some of the nicest amenities I’ve ever seen in a hotel. The location is prime within walking distance of major shopping areas and I will 100% be staying here anytime I come to Barcelona in the future!
