Samara Costa Rica lost electricity on the morning of our last full day in Costa Rica. So at Villas Verdes, we spent the last full day and the time preparing for our exit early the next morning, in total darkness, with no running water or air conditioning. I understand that Villas Verdes cannot control the electricity in Costa Rica (shoddy as it is) but at least they could have check on us and perhaps provided flash lights or even gas lanterns or buckets of water to flush the toilets. But we heard nothing from them! I will not be back. And I think a partial refund if in order. - Thomas

This hotel was quite nice. I really enjoyed the curtained space outside of my room. The fan helped keep the bugs away, but the noise from the road was quite loud. The location is off the main road coming into town, so there a lot of cars during the day. The pool was nice, but it was always very buggy around it.

We had a wonderful time in Viilla #8. The staff were friendly, the property was well kept, the rooms were clean and had everything we needed to be able to cook in the villa. The beach and stores were in walking distance (great location!). We loved our outdoor space, where we ate, read on the hammock or hung out in the sitting area. Thank you! El personal fue amable, la propiedad estaba bien cuidada, las habitaciones estaban limpias y tenían todo lo que necesitábamos para poder cocinar en la villa. La playa y las tiendas estaban a poca distancia a pie (¡ubicación excelente!). Nos encantó nuestro espacio al aire libre, donde comíamos, leíamos en la hamaca o pasábamos el tiempo en el área de descanso. ¡Gracias!

Very clean, nice rooms with cold AC, a relaxing hammock on the patio and a stellar pool! Also felt very safe with security at the gate all night. Would 100% book again in the future!

The suite was very spacious. The patio was large with a swing hammock and dining table. You can walk one block to the beach. We also had a cat visitor hang out by us. And a giant lizard by the pool. The pool was very nice. The property is quaint and small and perfect for a peaceful stay. And price was great! Wish we stayed longer but we wanted to try different properties in the area. This one is definitely our favorite in the area.

Excellent staff! Excellent green and clean property. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Shout out to Aaron at the front desk, who was so kind and went the extra mile to make sure our stay was perfect!

The good: The villas are in a beautiful garden Short walk from the beach and commercial area. Helpful staff Nice swimming pool Full kitchen Not as great: There is no common covered outside space for rainy moments and our villa had a tiny one, not effectively covered. Most villas seem to have them, though.

We had a lovely open patio outside our room with rocking chairs. Reception was very helpful in setting up a kayak tour to Isla Choro.

Everything was perfect. The villa was very complete, it contained everything we needed for a great stay.

Check in and check out was easy and smooth. About a 10 minute walk to Playa Samara. The room was spacious, but the beds were a bit uncomfortable. We had a rental so went to other beaches nearby as the town is quite small so a couple days there was good enough.

Beautiful hotel on the west side of Samara. Very tropical setting at this hotel. Hotel is across the street from a grocery store, next door to a coffee shop and a block from the beach. Perfect location for our family

The property was beautiful, the location is handy, and the staff were friendly. Parking is limited. The jacuzzi was not working properly, the traffic noise is loud, and breakfast was not included.

Great value

The staff were wonderful, they also did our laundry based on wieight and the price was very reasonable and our clothes came back perfectly, albiet most of it was athletic wear. Front desk helped a lot over 48 hours so we could maximize our time in Samara, would highly recomend this place

Great owners - very helpful and knowledgable. The beautiful casitas were great for sitting in the veranda.
