Great accommodations , centrally located and very comfortable for my family of 4. Woke up to a beautiful sunrise. Wish we could’ve stayed longer.

Fantastic location within walking distance to the main area of Gion and streets of cherry blossoms without the crowd. The room is so spacious and great for families with a baby or toddler. Our baby was able to play in the tatami room. A cot and high chair was also provided to us free of charge. The kitchenette and washing machine / dryer enabled us to feed our baby and do our washing too without any stress. The hotel is approximately 10 minutes from Kyoto Station and a taxi ride should not cost more than 2,000 yen. Very accessible and would definitely stay again.

The location is perfect for walking and bus access anywhere oin Kyoto. The street is quiet, beautifully paved, with a canal and trees on one side, and the beautiful river walks on the other. It was the prettiest neighborhood we saw in Kyoto and we traveled all over! Kitchen is well equipped and staff highly responsive to whatever is needed, The rooms are large and quiet, the beds amazing, and super helpful desk staff 12 hrs per day. Great controls for temp and humidity in each room, and a serene retreat each day. Yet right across the river is Gion, you are a short 10 min walk from Karamachi and the all the downtown stores. Bus and subway lines to all the great sites a block away. Amazing!

The room smelled of mildew, mold and sewage when we arrived, since the humidity was high and ventilation was poor. We asked for disinfectant and sprayed in the room and air conditioning unit just to be able to stand the odor in the room. Only after a couple of nights of running the dehumidifier and a/c through the night( which made getting to sleep difficult since the units were loud) did we get the odor to a bearable level. The beds were very hard.

Very nice views of the mountain and city from the back side of the hotel. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Only critique is that they could have offered some free coffee with the free tea selection! Otherwise, we absolutely enjoyed our stay.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft! Großes Apartment! Die Lage ist perfekt. Wir haben alles zu Fuß oder mit dem Citybus unternehmen können. Man fühlt sich sehr wohl. Das Team ist sehr hilfsbereit!

Oh we loooooove our stay here. We felt so at home. Our room is just the most comfortable, cleanest space ever!! There is so much space for our baby to play during the night. The japanese style room just made our Japan travel more immersive in their culture. It's one of our best hotel experience!!!

Excellent location. Very walkable. So many great restaurants and local attractions nearby. Also very quiet and right next to the river so peaceful and full of nature.

I had a great stay. It’s like an apartment but have the amenities like a hotel, except that they don’t clean the room during the stay. But you can drop towels in the laundry basket downstairs and pick fresh ones anytime. There is reception round the clock, which is awesome. View of the river is fantastic. There is a Japanese style room which was a nice experience.

Great view! English and Japanese speakers will have an easy time. The room was very nice and had everything needed for us including a crib! Such a beautiful view of the river and a great location to visit kawamachi-dori or kimizudera .

Loved this place on a quiet street next to the river and a short walk from Gion’s cultural sites. The 1br apartment suited our family of 4 given the enclosed sleeping space near the living room for our 2 kids. The apartment is well designed and comfortable with all you need to cook, do laundry and relax. It was a perfect pick for our visit to Kyoto. The staff are excellent and easy to communicate with.

An apartment hotel with full kitched facilities and laundry. Balcony is nice after a night out and to have coffee on in the morning. About 30 minutes from kyoto station but close to the subway and bus lines.

had an excellent stay here, we were stuck there for an extra day due to the typhoon in tokyo and the hosts were very helpful getting us the extra night stay. hosts are also excellent with local recommendations and their hospitality was unmatched.

Kyoto Riverview House Kyou-raku was one of our favorite places to stay in Japan. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Alex made our experience even better due to his excellent customer service! Great location on a quiet street. Walkable to the train station, restaurants, and shopping. We really liked the layout of the apartment, plenty of room for our family of 4. The washer/dryer was very helpful. We hope to stay here again on our next trip to Japan.

Very spacious for a family of four. Alex at reception spoke English and was very friendly and helpful with making reservations etc Great location and I would definitely stay there again when in Kyoto!
