This hotel was a good option at a cheaper price than the JW Marriott. The building is very old and has some quirky features but overall it was a fine place to stay. I did like the food and beverage credit. The mini fridge is hidden in the built in cabinets which I didn't realize at first. One thing I did not like though was my shower was like a jet stream which was hard to take a girl "half shower" and not get your hair wet because it was so strong and splashed far. Also the water temperature was surprisingly very hard to control (extra extra extra hot).

Beautiful hotel great Location friendly staff Definitely stay again!

Our check in was disappointing. We arrived at 2pm. Check in time is 4pm. We were told in order to have access to our room we would have to pay 50$, EVEN THOUGH it was ready! The hotel was practically empty. NO ONE would have been inconvenienced by our earlier check in. In addition, we found crumpled up paper in our room indicating a less than thorough check of its condition.

It was great

The Alida was in a perfect location to walk to area attractions; River Street, Broughton Street for shopping, City Market, Forsyth Park, many restaurants & bars. It was nice to have an elevator to get down to the Savannah River District as my husband had a hard time with stairs. Rooms were adequate & cleaned every day. The happy hour every day was nice with champagne & delicious cookies. There is a $35.00 resort fee for every day you stay but you get an $18.00 food/beverage ticket to use at their bar. You can’t go wrong if you stay at The Alida.

The hotel was amazing and so was the staff!

Nice hotel in great location near the river and nightlife. Great rooftop bar with live music some nights. A little loud at night when trying to sleep because of the proximity to bars and restaurants. I would have given a higher rating but for the hidden charge ($32 a day) for "amenities fee." While not all that uncommon, I resent this kind of secret charge you don't know about when you book.

Great staff, beautiful hotel, clean and comfortable. Only valet parking at$52 a night. Not the most ideal charge.

My girlfriend and I stayed in Savannah for one evening and the Alida hotel had everything & more during our stay. We'll be returning in the warmer months to take in more of the city!
