Ivi Mare markets itself as a luxury resort, but the reality falls well short of that promise. Check-in was slow and poorly managed. After completing forms with our personal details, we were left waiting with little communication before finally being shown to our room. The room itself felt small and standard rather than five-star. The toilet seat was badly stained and smelled unpleasant, creating an odour in the room. Housekeeping replaced it promptly when notified, but it should never have reached that stage. Other maintenance issues included a poorly flushing toilet and a worn safe keypad. The beach is also misleadingly described. It is essentially a rocky area covered with sand, with difficult access to the sea. Guests wanting a proper beach experience need to use the neighbouring hotel's shoreline. Food quality was inconsistent. Salads and the Japanese and Greek restaurants were very good, but some buffet dishes were poor. On Italian night, stale breadsticks, bland pasta and an inedible undercooked dish were particularly disappointing. Guest relations also fell short. We never received Expedia VIP benefits, despite being eligible, and repeated incorrect assumptions were made about our gender and relationship, leaving us feeling unwelcome. The location is another drawback. Paphos is around an hour's walk away, limiting options for guests without a car. The saving grace was the staff. Kelly, Habib, Mohammed, Sofia, Elana, Pambos, Sanju, Diana, Youseff and Sweta were great

Great staff. Breakfast spread is next level. Sushi has a LOT to be desired... Unless you like exclusively tuna and salmon. No kids about, so quiet. However not many trees on the property, pool area feels sterile. Life music played too loyalty to enjoy it.

Mooie, grote kamers. Heel handig dat er ook Europees type stopcontacten zijn en niet enkel het Engelse type. Mooi, hee groot zwembad. Goede ligbedden en de app om drinken te bestellen is superhandig. Restaurants wel prijzig en geen al te grote porties. Ligging is ideaal. Een paar km wandelen en je bent in Paphos. Bushalte voor de deur.

It’s very substandard for a 5-star hotel and certainly not what I expected for £250 per night. The plastic flowers at reception were probably the first clue. I’ve stayed in 5-star hotels in Greece before and genuinely loved the experience, so I do have a good comparison. Unfortunately, the breakfast here was very mediocre, and overall the hotel feels more like a cheap package holiday resort rather than a true luxury hotel. I also had two spa treatments which were a complete waste of both my time and money. I chose not to complain directly at the time because I did not want the staff member to risk losing her job, as proper training and standards are ultimately the responsibility of management. Overall, the hotel did not deliver the quality, atmosphere, or service I was expecting or paying for.

The Price is to high for this Hotel

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. Staff were extremely welcoming, helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they met every request with professionalism and a smile. Definitely 5 star service and facilities. Would highly recommend. A special mention to the ladies at reception and Tanos in the restaurant. My husband had mentioned that we were travelling for my birthday and we had a lovely note, sparkling wine and cake in the room to welcome us, which was a lovely touch. Thank you!

Beautiful hotel, amazing staff. We felt well and truly looked after.

Everything stood out, the hotel was clean fresh, friendly. The staff were always available and visible. They helped with any requests from booking cabs, to recommending places to visits and salons. I needed a hairdresser and they got one to come to the hotel. The amenities were really good, spa, indoor pool, outside pool, beach, restaurant. I had a hot tub I. My room which was maintained everyday. Cannot fault the stay at all.

Brilliant staff especially Anna and housekeeping. Very generous free wine and treats. We were thrilled.Enjoyed having music in the evening and the Japanese restaurant was great. A beautiful pool outside and the indoor pool was warm and fantastic. Luxurious sunbeds. We loved it. xx

Hôtel impeccable peu importe l’heure de la journée, l’accueil à l’arrivée, le service aux chambres ainsi qu’au buffet, jusqu’à la sélection d’oeillers pour un confort optimal.
