The family running this hotel were amazing. We really enjoyed our stay. We look forward to coming back again. The location was perfect.

Guisseppi, Mateo and Marie Theresa could not have been more accommodating. It was a pleasure and will be sure to return on our next trip to Rome. Gratzie Paisans!

The service was outstanding

This is a family run hotel in a property that must have seen it glorious days. But it is well maintained and the age of the property add character which is a very nice change from the typical newer hotel. Also the friendliness of the people managing the property more than make for the lack of newer facility. I would like to specially mention the gentleman at the front desk name Giuseppe. He is always ready to help and provide good suggestions.

It was in a good location right near the Borghese Gardens, convenient to walk to many things good restaurants in the area that were recommended by the owner it was very clean the room with daily cleaning service

This accommodation is a family business and provides very personal service. The location was in walking distance to many attractions and dining options. Our room was clean and comfortable with a large bathroom (steps to access bathroom). The hotel is secure from street and building. Thank you- we would stay again.

We enjoyed two nights in Rome at Hotel Golden. Very unique place. Impeccable service. Staff is very helpful. We would stay there again!

Hotel Golden is in the perfect location when visiting Rome! It’s a 15 minute walk to Trevi and the other major sites, but far enough out that you can avoid the massive crowds. There are numerous options to dine, literally right out the front door! However, contrary to Expedia’s description the hotel does not have laundry services or its own restaurant. We felt very safe at Hotel Golden. It is a family run business and the family resides on property.

This property should not be listed under hotels instead under hostels. The property displayed pictures which showed rooms larger than what it actually was. The hotel owners and staff were unfriendly and not very accommodating. The placed smelled of food most evenings. They would not let you leave with your room keys when leaving for the day but instead leave it at the front desk until you returned. If you returned late at night you had to call the owner(s) to let you in. They would not turn on the ac the room was stifling hot almost every night and when we requested they said that the other guests requested heat, the outside temperatures ranged anywhere from the high 60’s to mid 70’s. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and broken. And if you did complain about any of the above, the owners/ staff were rude. This place should be called hotel Broken instead of Hotel Golden, nothing gold about this place. Not even a one star at this point. Buyers be very aware.

Nice family run business and clean

Very clean and comfortable hotel. Only issue was the lack of 24 hour staff at the desk. This meant you need to pre-arrange to return the hotel after midnight or even leave the hotel prior to 6 am. We didn't realize we would need to he head to the train station prior to 6 and literally could not get out of the locked door.

C'est une petit hôtel sur le premier étage d'un immeuble, et géré par une famille. Très bonne accueil. J'avais une petite chambre avec un lit simple. Ma chambre était propre, confortable et au calme. Le prix était raisonnable. J'ai apprécié la situation, tout proche du grand parc qui abrite la Galleria Borghese.

Hotel staff was excellent, going above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. But the beds are extremely uncomfortable. This made it very hard to get proper rest.

Un hotel muy bonito y agradable sobre todo una familia muy linda que te brinda una buena atención es un hotel limpio , seguro y ubicación perfecta. Si quieres algo tranquilo nada ruidoso y si te gusta que te traten bien ahí es…te hacen sentir como en casa

Great hotel and the staff that runs it are great. Very friendly and helpful. The location is nice and in the middle of most major attractions. (short cab rides). It’s a residential area so it’s a bit quieter and less touristy

Rundown condition of the whole room. Please do some renovations like painting freahpaint or something

Hotel Golden was perfect for our stay- the staff were all really helpful and friendly, the room was clean, and the location was close to both the Spagna metro station, and some of the major attractions in Rome.
