Great location. But room so basic. Very clean and perfect location. But room has a very tired bathroom (like an 80’s student flat). Hot water takes for ever to come. Tiny room. Not even a chair. No air con. Just an old fashion ceiling fan. It’s not expensive but I find the pictures very misleading. Not bad value for money but very basic.

We liked that it was in the centre of upper town close to all the restaurants, the squares, the churches and everything else. It was a 2 km walk from the main train station as our trip was all on trains

Very friendly and welcoming feeling at the hotel. Good location at Citta Alta. Excellent sevice. Door handle in the bathroom sliding door would be handy, had to resque wife several times from the toilet :)

Meget sentralt hotell med god restaurant. God frokost. Kunne vært to stoler på rommet. Står at det er daglig rengjøring, men det stemte ikke.

Sjarmerende hotell midt i hjertet av gamlebyen i Bergamo. Fantastisk service fra personalet. Man merker at her trives også de som jobber. Flott frokost med det man trenger for ikke å glemme skikkelig baristakaffe, en skikkelig luksus. For nordmenn kan det nevnes at Jahn Teigen bodde 5 måneder på dette hotellet i 1992. Her bor vi gjerne igjen ved neste besøk i Bergamo.

A favourite place of ours. We keep coming back to it as it ticks all the boxes. Supercentral, clean, comfortable, outstanding service and adequate pricing.

This is a good hotel in an amazing location adjacent to the main piazza in Bergamo alta. It has its own restaurant, indoor and outdoor dining. Plus a small private and secure car park.

A localização é o que tem de melhor. Hotel antigo. Camas de solteiro muito pequenas. Box minusculo. Café da manhã básico. Qualquer barulho nos quartos vizinhos é audível.

Ottima accoglienza e servizio, massima gentilezza, buona colazione. Pulizia e ordine. Un po' triste l arredo della camera e la porta di plastica a cuscinetto del bagno. Tutto il resto molto bene. Meglio i bicchieri di carta che di plastica

Todella hyvä sijainti ja perus hyvä paikallinen aamupala, mutta muuten pieni ja meluisa ja etenkin lastenrattaiden kanssa haastava. Huoneissa myös jännä haju.

Sijainti ei voisi olla parempi. Simppeli ja siisti hotelli. Aamupala yksinkertainen mutta maukas.

Well priced centrally located hotel in the heart of old town Bergamo, located above a friendly restaurant/ coffee shop. Room was basic but adequate for a short stay, only downside was the shower ( we had read previous reviews so knew this might be an issue) it was snug & water came out in bursts rather than a constant flow.

This hotel is only rated 2 star's, but we found it incredibly clean and comfortable. The location is at the corner of the main town square, so you couldn't beat it. It is extremely quiet and the breakfast is buffet style. We ate in the restaurant the first night and although it was more expensive than a lot of the other restaurants we ate in, the quality of the food and service was exceptional and worth the money. Service is at the core of this hotel. All the staff were very warm, welcoming and friendly. Special mention to the head barman Diego, The best cocktail maker and truly one of the nicest people you could meet. He is so passionate about not only cocktails, but Coffee! If you do decide to stay here, don't expect the Ritz, but DON'T expect 2 Star's either. Il Sole is so much more. We will be recommending it to all our friends and hopefully returning. Bergamo is one place that does live up to the hype.

The location is perfect just in the city centre. The room was small and very simple. The breakfast was amazing! Very tasty and welcoming. Home pastries alongside with professional coffee were the best.
