Wonderful historic hotel. Lots of amenties for fee, and amazing staff. If you enjoy golfing, atv riding, biking, hiking, and fishing and boating this is the place for you. It is a bit of grid, not great phone service . Only had internet in hallway or the lobby.

On site restaurant was good, and had great service. E love this resort, we have stayed a few times and plan to go back. Beautiful island resort.

Perfect property! Quiet, clean, such a friendly staff. Not enough guests I guess on Monday night. Cause all servers went home and couldn’t get dinner. But still can’t wait to come back. Wi-Fi in rooms however no cellular connection possible

I stayed here two nights in July 2025 the "off" season i was told because nothing was open. No lounge, no ice cream parlor, no steakhouse, no retals. The sports bar didnt even have food the first night i stayed. This place is in BFE so bring food. For the cost they should have a onsite grocery store, but no. No gift shop, so dont foget anything. Oh and because RESORT is in the name of the place, expect fees up the wazoo. I dont recommend.

The complementary breakfast was the worst we have expedienced in the last 15 years of travel.

The property is beautiful. The one problem I had was the guests in the next room were loud and taking until 1am. Maybe due to adjoining door between the rooms could use more insulation.

The whole property needs management on site. In the last three years that we have been going there...it is terribly understaffed and no one knows what's going on!!! Upscale restaurant closed which I guess is OK because last year we went there and the steaks were TERRIBLE!!!!! They need an overall MANAGER on site!!

Internet didn’t work so check-in was a mess and no one had service the entire trip. We didn’t have enough blankets and it took forever and 3 trips to the front desk to get them. Tried to get lunch at the bar and grill and was rudely told we couldn’t come in because there was no bartender. Tried to go to the bar later that night and there was a grease fire. A woman rudely yelled at us to leave even though we were, and she followed us back to our room. It was a disappointing stay at a place my family has loved staying at for over 50 years. And they won’t respond to my messages.

This is a nice place in a great spot. They are so short staffed that only one of the 4 food venues are open Mon- Thursday.

Did not have enough staff in the restaurant or the hotel. The staff that was there was not trained and ill prepared. Never restocked towels for the pool. The “free” breakfast was not stocked, no one cleaned the tables, the garbage was overflowing and food not kept neatly. We asked for more milk and never got it after 30 minutes. Staff walked by overflowing garbage cans multiple times and just looked at it. Left there not happy.

It’s out of season. No dining at all available. Also, for such a fancy resort I’d like to see more than 40 channels on a tv. Why can’t they get a Netflix or something. Besides golf, nothing to do at this location in May.

Perfect getaway, friendly staff great location

Some of the staff was out-of-control and the so very rude. many of the amenities were closed such as the ice cream parlor (in the middle of summer) and well as the fine dining room. The surrounding town has nothing to offer, not even a pharmacy. Had to drive to Iron Mountain, a half an hour away for any supplies. The hot tub was totally dangerous to enter and exit. It was a nightmare. The ATV rental & trail was great, but that is not ran by the motel.

Great place to snowshoe! Enjoyed the pool, hot tub and sauna. One of our party was in a wheelchair and the staff went out of their way to accommodate us especially since the main dining room was closed for an event and the only restaurant that was open was not accessible by wheelchair.
