Property was ok

The room was perfect for a short stay. The staff was friendly and so helpful. They offered a cold breakfast, but we had our own. The showers were hot and strong. Such a great stop!

The room and bathroom was very small however had a nice spot to sit outside and enjoy the Iceland weather.

Perfect stay for our ring road trip. Off a dirt road, but much nicer than most other dirt/gravel roads we travelled! Staff was wonderful. Breakfast was delicious-fruit, yogurt, cereal, meats, cheese, breads, etc. Bed was comfortable, no negatives.

Room had a private bath that was a little small but useable

The cabin was large clean and had everything we needed

Very quiet location. The staff made an effort to make us feel welcome. The surroundings are great too. We were happy that they also offered dinner and breakfast service. Note that the location shown on Expedia is not where the hotel is but it’s rather a 30 min drive from egilstadir. Check Google Maps for the correct location along route 917

About 25 minutes out of Egilsstadir city center, beautiful Mountain View, cabin is clean and roomy for 3 of us, it can fit 4 adults comfortably. All staffs were very nice and the service was great!

This place was pretty good for the price we paid. The room was clean and the location not too far off of route 1.

The property is in the middle of nowhere- and that's a compliment. The host was very helpful in the morning when I asked about how to go to several attractions. She urged us to visit the Studlagil Canyon which is one of my favorite places in the entire country. We might have skipped it. Make sure to check how late the reception is open since the entry requires physical keys.

This place was ok for a one-night stay, but felt pretty cheap for a hotel that actually wasn’t that cheap. We got a room with a private bathroom and ate at their restaurant area since they have no shared kitchen space. The food wasn't good at all, but the staff was extremely friendly and let many people order food even though the kitchen was supposed to close. We decided not to stick around for breakfast since the dinner food was so mediocre, so I couldn’t comment on if it's worth the extra price.

Amazing views

Hôtel un peu éloigné de la route principale. Il faut faire plusieurs kilomètres sur une piste en gravier pour y accéder. Ça ne pose pas de problème si vous avez le bon véhicule, et un voiture classique passe aussi. Chambre très petite et peu confortable. Une seule bouilloire en équipement dans la chambre. Salle de bain peu confortable avec eau chaude limitée et surtout qui ne fonctionne pas correctement. Il faut comprendre qu’il faut ouvrir le robinet du lavabo pour avoir de l’eau chaude de la douche. C’est indiqué nulle part, ce n’est pas logique, d’autant plus que l’eau chaude est limitée à 50 L par chambre et que ça gaspille l’eau… Petite terrasse devant la chambre sans chaise ni table, dommage.
