We were not at all happy with one of the two rooms we were given and it took quite a bit of arguing before we were moved to another room. Not a good way to start a vacation. Also we were moved to another type of room totally, rooms vs a cottage, a few days before arriving and we only found out by chance. This also was not good. Overall the room assignment process was not good and we booked our reservation 8 months in advance.

The Reefs is a beautiful property with a pristine beach. They have a unique layout with views of the water most everywhere. The staff is first class. The food and restaurants are among the best in Bermuda in my opinion.

The beach is beautiful and the resort is close to local beaches and Hamilton. Our room was terrible though. It was a cliff side room but on the bottom floor and our view was partially obscured by overgrown trees. Also, we were awoken every morning at 6am by doors slamming shut. It was a terrible room and I’d never stay in a lower room.

Great little beach. No restaurants offsite in the area so have to taxi there.

Amazing location with great views. Beach is very nice, pinkish sand and well maintained. The guy who rakes the seaweed in the morning deserves a raise! Restaurants are nice and staff is friendly.

The Reefs resort was very well maintained. The location was about 30 minutes from the airport and the city of Hamilton, but the bus system was very good and it was easy to travel around the island. The resort has a beautiful private beach and is also about a 20 minute walk to Horseshoe Bay Beach. The only negative was that there weren’t very many shops or restaurants nearby, but the resort has two very good restaurants right on site.

Beautiful resort with great staff!

It's rare to stay in a resort where the owner genuinely cares about the guests, visiting tables at dinner, the bar late in the afternoon, and even a manager's cocktail hour. When you check in there's a nice touch - "Welcome Mr. & Mrs. Smith - Toronto, Canada - Happy Anniversary" - or "welcome back". No wonder many of these names had double digit number of visits beside their names. We love the Reefs. Thank you!

Key punch line: Expensive/pricey hotel with mediocre service at best. If you enjoy top notch service and attention to detail this is not the hotel for you. Employees need training. Couple of things stood out from our stay the first being the hotel knew ahead of time about my milestone birthday and did absolutely nothing. Also, hotel underscored the importance of booking a taxi to and from the airport through them. Paid a premium price. We had a 6 am pick-up to the airport. Hotel forgot to secure a taxi. We were left scrambling. When checked into hotel no food options available and had to wait 30 minutes for bar to open. The woman bartender was as friendly as a cardboard box and had serious attitude. Ordered appetizer and she delivered to wrong table. She put in new order and told us it would be 20 minutes. We said forget it.

Property is in a great location overlooking the ocean, great views. Free breakfast and tea in the afternoon was a plus. Would stay here again.

OMG, this was Beautiful place to stay Staff was excellent. from desk clerk young girl was Amazing and helpful , food staff was also Amazing.I can't say enough about this place I loved this resort. 10 out 10

The view of the beach from our cliffside room was absolutely beautiful, the service was amazing, and the food was delicious. We will be going back !!

Outstanding family owned property with one of the best views on the island. The rooms were very impressive although they do need a refresh in some areas but overall very nice. Everyone - and I mean everyone - we met around the island and at The Reefs were polite, friendly and helpful which separates this island from all others. The restaurants at the Reefs were very good and you cannot beat the free breakfast which kept us full all day. Unfortunately we had rain throughout our vacation and the owners threw a “rainy day cocktail party” in lieu of their dinner on the beach. It was very impressive that the owner went around and met the guests which, just does not happen at larger, corporate-owned properties. We will be back to the property soon to visit and see the island in the sunshine! Great stay overall.

Too many steps and walking. I asked to move pool side but they never allowed although rooms were available.
