Lovely stay! Old fashioned excellence!

al staff were very pleasant and friendly. room were clean and well maintained. breakfast was ok, some food were cold.

The property is old. It’s not modern. However, it perfectly suits the island, the weather and the culture. The staff was outstanding in every way. Every question or concern we had was addressed immediately with follow up. The food in all three restaurants was great. Both beaches were incredibly clean and well-maintained. The location is perfect. We loved staying here and will absolutely stay here when we go to St Croix again.

The breakfast service was extremely slow . They were only staff with three servers so it took about 30 minutes before some one recognized us . They did apologize. The hot food was quite cold . The gym needs some tlc , but on the whole the staff was great . I booked a deluxe room and should have received a bottle of wine upon arrival. We were in the tennis villas, with no complimentary wine . On a whole the property was beautiful, the sunsets were beautiful. The bartender and dinner servers were fantastic.

Breakfast always good, staff *****, grounds are well kept, foods a little pricey but very good, management is top notch and very helpful. Overall very likely to return very good experience for families or couples. Thanks for the memories.

Old school sea side resort near the town. The hotel has everything you need, with several restaurants and bars both on and off the beach - I don’t play golf, but it looked like a great course.

Best place of this island. Rooms are need little maintenance but otherwise great property, nice beach best view.

We enjoyed all the access the Buccaneer had to offer. The beaches are beautiful. The one thing I would do differently is rent a car. Also, I wish the property had access to rent a golf cart if you weren’t golfing. The expense of some of the food was something to plan for or to purchase a meal plan for the next trip. It was a great vacation, overall.

Very friendly and helpful staff throughout the resort including the pro shop at the golf course. Room was exactly as pictured and expected ! Breakfast choices were plentiful. Beaches were spectacular , and for someone that has been coming down to STX for 30 years - among the best on the island. All of the restaurants were excellent and we ate at all of them. The Welcome Experience on Tuesday night and meeting the owner was refreshing and perfect. The Buccaneer is a must stay!

The hotel was beautiful. I could not have had a better time. I will be back soon.

This resort is AWESOME! Staff is super friendly and absolutely stunning views - well maintained - the owner Mrs. Elizabeth’s weekly Nature History Tour was an added bonus. She is very passionate about and very involved here at the Buccaneer Resort . Will for sure be back !

Great resort, the staff are fantastic, would definitely recommend as top resort in St Croix.

The Buccaneer is an old cattle ranch / sugar plantation converted into a beach/ golf resort. A beautiful setting. I prepaid for a room over a three day stay. At check-in, "Ben" said incidental room charges were $75 per day which would have been $225 on my debit card. I checked my account an hour later. My debit card was charged $2,000 for incidental room/ resort charges! What a shock! The room my wife and I stayed in had no hot water two days in a row ( cold showers ). Only on the third day the problem with the hot water heater was fixed. Hot water finally. The room had water stains on the ceiling that hadn't been fixed. The bathtub stopper was broken. Only showers could be taken. The tub stopper was replaced on the last evening I was there but still didn't work. The complementary breakfast was buffet style and everything was cold but the oatmeal ( cold eggs, cold bacon, cold sausage ). In my opinion, if you stay at this resort, be prepared to be over charged for everything. They say you get what you pay for. I paid a lot and got very little for my money. If I come back to St. Croix, I won't be staying at the Buccaneer to be overcharged for a room.

Absolutely gorgeous property.

Everything was excellent. Our room was oceanfront, on the corner, next to trees. I think if the door seal & cracks throughout the room were properly sealed. It would minimize the small pest (bugs, small centipedes, etc) from getting in. We laid towels in front both doors. Helped tremendously. We will definitely be returning.

The staff was so nice and helpful. Beaches are awesome. Great food and bars. You almost don't need to leave the resort.
