Beautiful, right by the Cliff Walk. Warm & friendly staff, responsive to all requests. Private & serene. First-rate!

Such an amazing Inn! Perched above the walk & the setting was so tranquil & beautiful. We spent two evenings sitting at the fire pit enjoying the peace & drinking a glass of wine (lovely afternoon wine & snacks provided!). We loved our room - the decor was stunning - so many special touches. Breakfast was also a treat! Can’t wait to come back! Truly a special place!

The room was very nice. The breakfast was very fresh and the coffee was good. Literally steps away from the beginning of the cliff walk. I would highly recommend it.

Fantastic Stay!

Next to the cliff walk and 20 minute walk to downtown Newport. Beautiful property, wine hour from 5-6, and lovely staff.

The only thing wrong with our lovely room was the temperature. At bedtime it was 78degrees. There was no effective way to turn on the air conditioning..

I thought the property was charming. The type of breakfast really wasn’t of our taste, but it was done very nicely.

Absolutely loved my stay here! Perfect location to do the Cliff walk and enjoy the mansions of Newport. Staff were so lovely. Breakfast was delicious and the wine & canapés each day at 5-6pm was a lovely touch. I enjoyed them in front of the fire. The room was excellent! I stayed in the Lark suite; huge tub, gorgeous marble bathroom, a lovely gas fireplace that kept the room warm and cozy. Very clean. And homemade chocolate chip cookies available each evening by the tea/coffee station. Wonderful! Will return!

We had such a wonderful stay here. We were given the Cliff Suite which is in a cottage across from the main house. I would happily live in there, the decor was beautiful and the jet tub was big enough for 3! We arrived late after our flighty was delayed and the keys left out for us. The breakfast was delicious and different each day. It was lovely to have a coffee by the fire. We will definitely be back if we return to the area.

The stay was amazing from start to finish. Me and my fiancé were greeted at the desk almost immediately with a very warm welcome. We were told our room would be ready in a few minutes which gave us time to explore the property a little bit more. The area was beautiful and was overlooking the water. The room was stunning, and the bathroom was immaculate. They keep the property very clean and you can tell the people who work there truly care about the property and guests. Katie was amazing and so cheerful. We will definitely be back!

The Hydrangea suite was separate from the main building and closer to Cliff Walk. The door/lock was tough to use, the tv in the living room space was challenging (had to keep updating the service and switch HDMI input to get TV - took me 15 mins to figure out with a call to the front desk). The fixtures (toilet, shower, doors) were remarkably cheap as was the overall quality of materials in this suite for what you pay to stay here in the off season. Giving it 4 stars because the room was large enough with the pull out couch to have my daughter stay with us but value was more like a 3 or 3.5. Glad to see some much needed renovations happening to the main house too. Breakfast looked great but we had other plans.

We had a great stay at Cliffside Inn. The staff were kind, professional and accommodating. The room was top notch! Very comfortable, clean, well appointed. Breakfast was delicious each morning. We didn’t stay for wine hour - but it looked yummy with six wine options as two hot appetizers, all complimentary. I hope to return!

Could not have enjoyed my stay more! Loved the wine happy hour to get to know other travelers. Staff was friendly and very helpful. What a dreamy way to spend your time in Newport! Already thinking of when I can visit again!!

Excellent place. Careful of the room with bathroom down a spiral staircase.

My husband wanted to take me to Newport for my birthday and chose the Cliffside Inn. It was a wonderful trip! Staff was more than helpful and did everything possible to make every guest feel special. The food at breakfast as well as the lovely wine and snacks at 5pm were perfect.
