What a lovely guest house. Perfect location. Lovely staff that treated everyone like family. Excellent, and plentiful breakfast to start your day. I would return here in a heartbeat.

Room is small but efficient for its size and clean. View of river was spectacular! Staff is friendly and helpful and breakfast was bountiful and delicious. We would stay here over larger hotels in a heart beat!

We loved this place. Staff is amazing, they are so kind and welcoming. They gave us suggestions as to where to go, which places weren't worth going, and made us feel right at home. The Luis and the other young man were such good hosts! When we come back to Porto we will definitely be back here. This was a close walk to the night life but far enough that it was quiet at night. Room was clean & AC was great. 10/10 experience here!

We had a great stay at Guest House Douro! It was in a great location, and the breakfast was fabulous. We ran into a few small issues, but Luis went above and beyond to rectify them right away. He made our stay one to remember, and if we’re ever back in Porto, we will return! Thank you Luis for your incredible hospitality!!!!

Small, but nice room in a great location with sweeping views of the Douro river

The property is so conveniently located and right in front of the river. I recommend you get a river view room. The staff is super attentive. I didn't get all their names but kudos to Luis. The breakfast is superb. The young lady serving breakfast was outstanding.

Niedliches Gasthaus direkt am Douro Fluss. Lage: Die Lage ist unschlagbar. Man erreicht alles zu Fuß - Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Restaurants, Sehenswürdigkeiten (wie etwa die große Brücke Portos). ÖPNV ist ebenfalls sehr gut zu erreichen. Personal: Überaus freundlich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend! Zimmer: Wir hatten das Zimmer 401. Dieses war recht klein und etwas eng, sowie etwas „altbacken“. Für einen Kurzaufenthalt aber vollkommen ausreichend! Es gibt eigentlich alles, was man benötigt. Ein weiterer großer Spiegel sowie ein Mini-Kühlschrank wären allerdings super. Die Betten waren sehr gemütlich. Frühstück: Man meldet sich den Vortag für eine Uhrzeit zum Frühstück an. Achtung; schnell sein lohnt sich, teils sind Uhrzeiten „vergriffen“ (im Frühstücksraum gibt es drei Tische à zwei Plätze). Das Frühstück wird für jeden Platz täglich frisch zubereitet und zusammengestellt. Es gibt frisches Obst, Brötchen und etwas Aufschnitt, Kaffee/Tee, Saft, Joghurt, Gebäck. Sehr lecker! Es wurde uns zudem gratis Wasser angeboten. Insgesamt würden wir gerne wiederkommen.

Staff is very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. They gave great suggestions about what to see and do. The included breakfast is amazing! The location is very convenient in a historic area.

It was a great location and a well kept place. The breakfast was wonderful served by Philip who was also so friendly and gave us some good tips along with the good food.

The hotel is in an excellent location, at the heart of Ribeira (waterfront). The views from my room were spectacular looking at Monastery, Bridge and the other side of Duoro River, the lively Gaia. The staff are so helpful and knowledgeable and made my stay more enjoyable.

Location of the property was amazing and staff was 5 Star. So friendly and took care of every need and breakfast was fantastic!

This was a wonderful stay. Tight rooms as normal for the area but well appointed and nice bathroom. Location was extraordinary, right in the heart of Porto and next to the water. Excellent breakfast and staff was extremely welcoming and helpful. Would recommend highly.

We have stayed at Boutique Hotels in the past, but the Guest House Douro is in a league of its own. Amazing staff that went the extra mile for all our needs, an incredible breakfast and location in the heart of all the attractions and dining options.
