We had a lovely, last minute stay at the Buxton! Highlights: comfy bed, clean room, powerful shower with toiletries and a fantastic breakfast. The only con was that the street can be busy at night and we could hear it from our room - just a point to comsider if you're staying on a weekend and are a light sleeper. Other than that the staff were all wonderful and we'd stay again!

Great stay! Clean great location and service

Lovely place, staff were all welcoming and helpful without exception. Room had everything we needed and breakfast was delicious. The bar itself is cosy and great selection of drinks and the private roof terrace for hotel guests was a wonderful bonus for views of the city with a late cocktail! Hope to return soon!

Comfy, clean, great location and affordable.

I loved the small atmosphere. They were so kind and accommodating. Aesthetically so cute. The tv only played football so that felt very authentically UK.

We logeerden graag in dit sfeervolle hotel. Het personeel was zeer behulpzaam en vriendelijk. De kleinschaligheid van het hotel vond ik een groot pluspunt. Met bovendien gezellige bar om de dag af te sluiten. Zoals overal in Londen is er tot laat in de avond en heel vroeg in de ochtend straatlawaai. Ik vond het dus heel attent dat er oordopjes ter beschikking waren. Het dakterras voor de gasten vond ik een leuk extraatje. Het ontbijt was eenvoudig, maar heel lekker en vers.

Really lovely staff, they let me check in slightly early which is extremely kind. The two ladies working in the bar/reception area were super warm and friendly. It was slightly noisy outside, so if you need silence when you sleep it might not be the place for you but it suited me fine! I would definitely come back

Very nice place, a welcome change from formula chain hotels. Very well looked after by the great staff. Excellent breakfast.

The location is great. The hotel is in an old building and it has a lot of charme. The rooms are nice and comfy, even though a little small. As the building is old, there is no elevator. Service is very good and accommodating. We liked the breakfast very much and their coffee machine is excellent. They even had alternative milk (oat). We'd definitely come back.
