After going on a grand tour of Nova Scotia for our wedding anniversary, we arrived at the Victorian Inn. Although the house was surely a stunning old house, it is now suffering from deferred maintenance. The handrails at the main entrance were loose. The exterior needs pain. Our room, while comfortable had a filthy shower curtain that had obviously not been cleaned in a while and a shower curtain so dark, it was almost impossible to see when it was shut. There was no bath mat or anti slip devices. The outside of our room had fake flowers in terrible shape.
Though the young man a the from desk was friendly and efficient, I am appalled at the state of the property. On par with a cheap motel, not the grand Victorian it ought to be.
