Majoittuminen Casa Renessä oli juuri sitä mitä toivoimme ja paljon enemmän! Sijaintina erinomainen; lautalla pääsi Lissabonin keskustaan vain kymmenessä minuutissa. Läheisellä kadulla oli myös erinomaisia ruokapaikkoja ja kauppa oli vieressä, mistä sai altaalle juotavaa ja syötävää. Huoneet olivat siistit, sängyt olivat erittäin mukavat ja ilmastointi pelasi moitteettomasti. Myös pyyhkeitä oli runsaasti, mistä iso plussa! Keittiössä oli myös kaikki tarpeellinen. Vaikka tätä aluetta ei pidetä ns. rantakohteena, otimme yksi päivä uberin ja suuntasimme Costa de Caparican rannalle päiväksi ja sinnekin matka kesti n. 20 minuuttia. Voisin mennä koska tahansa uudestaan!

Well-stocked and VERY clean kitchen. Had basic cooking necessities available (salt/pepper, oil/vinegar) and even a bottle of wine (which was delicious) waiting in the fridge.

Our stay at Casa René with Ylvi and Koen was truly a magical experience and one of the best hospitality experiences we have ever had. Even before we arrived in Portugal, Ylvi was incredibly helpful with planning our trip. We were travelling to Lisbon to run the Lisbon Half Marathon, and she kindly helped us with practical information about the race, transportation, and how to best prepare for race day. Her communication before the trip made everything feel easy and well organised. When we arrived, we immediately felt welcomed. They helped us with transportation options, gave great recommendations for restaurants in the area, and shared useful tips about Lisbon and the local neighbourhood. One of the highlights was how thoughtfully they helped us around race day. They prepared delicious food for us when we returned after finishing. It was such a thoughtful and generous touch that made the whole experience even more special. Casa René itself is absolutely beautiful. The photos online simply do not do it justice. The rooms are lovely, the garden is peaceful and stunning, and the pool area is a perfect place to relax. Everything is very well maintained and full of charm. It truly felt like a small oasis near Lisbon — calm, welcoming and full of warmth.If you are looking for a place where you feel genuinely cared for, where the hosts go above and beyond to make your stay special, Casa René is the perfect choice.Thank you again, Ylvi and Koen, for such a wonderful stay.

A hidden gem indeed! Ylv was such a curteous and kind hostess. She was eager to help us for transportation and activities nearby. The apt is very well situated close to the ferry towards Lisbon. Many restaurants are close by. Pharmacy and geocery store within walking distance. Would recommend in a heartbeat.

Casa René was a wonderful place to stay for our holiday in Lisbon. It was close to the ferry terminal for easy access to Lisbon city center (5-10 minutes by ferry). There was a good selection of restaurants in the same street as the apartment with no traffic (pedestrian street). The apartment had two very nice bedrooms with the possibility of two single beds or 1 king size bed in each room. Each room had a connected bathroom. The apartment also has a nice kitchen with all you need and a good couch. The garden is the real gem of this place. It has a nice long pool, two mandarin trees and one lemon tree. We used the table out in the garden for all of our meals at home. Our boys (age 7 and 9) also felt at home with a small area with books and toys in the level beneath the apartment inside the building. The most wonderful thing about this place is still the hosts. Ylvi and Koen are extremely service minded and will provide you with all the information you need for a successful stay. They had a lot of good suggestions for our sightseeing to Lisbon, Almada and even Sintra and Cascais. They provide you with everything you need but are still not in any way "pushy" or "too visible" if that makes sense. There is not a doubt in our mind where we will stay if we are going back to Lisbon. We give this place 5 stars.
