We were given a room at the front of the pub, above the bar. The pub is on a busy road junction and so there is traffic noise! It was hot so we had the windows open, it was noisy, however, the windows are double glazed and there were ear plugs provided. There’s no air con but there were 2 fans in the room. There were also plug in radiators, hair dryer, iron, full size kettle and plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits. The room and bathroom were clean and well presented. We stayed on a Monday and Tuesday night so cannot judge if the pub would be noisy as there was nothing going on. We didn’t use the bar, however it looked clean and the staff were all happy and polite. You can walk into the centre of town in about 15 minutes alternatively the buses all run from the station which is only two minutes away. Big plus is the gated free parking in the car park, as there doesn’t seem to be much car parking in town and what there is is expensive. We had a good stay in a traditional town pub. For the price of the room, it’s great. There’s a block of rooms behind the pub which must be quieter, if you’re a light sleeper, I’d definitely ask for one of those! We had a great couple of days in Cambridge and Derby was a great base to work from.

We stayed for a night and had a lovely time. The people who worked there were so lovely and accomodating. The room was really clean, the bed was super comfy and the coffee/tea station in the room was really nice. We had breakfast in the morning and it was absolutey delicious. Overall a 10/10 stay.

Great location, onsite parking rare in area so a massive bonus. Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Rooms look recently refurbished. Only downside is the location is on a very busy road so rooms facing this are noisy most of the night. Recommend requesting a room at the rear.

Nobody waited for me; I couldn't make the check-in because no one was there. I was alone in the middle of the night without any help. Nobody replied on the phone, and Hotels.com couldn't even refund me. It was a complete disaster and a lack of respect in all senses. Everyone provided horrible service, and I’m disappointed. The hotel looks terrible, and the staff is not professional at all. I had to book another hotel, and nobody replied to my messages. It is an awful experience; don't go to that place if you don't want to regret it.

We stayed at Early of Derby for one night and it was perfect! Either a 30 min walk or 5 min uber into town, the location is great. Check in and check out was easy and seamless. The room was clean and had everything you need! They even left a little bag of mini eggs as we stayed on Easter weekend! We will definitely be staying here again.

No dining on the day of arrival. The following day the breakfast was very poor, no remote for the TV. The double bed was two bases put together with a double mattress on top, if you ended up in the middle you would fall towards the floor, the service wasn't very good, the pictures that are being displayed for the hotel are out 10 Years old. I would advise Expedia to check this out.

Warm welcome, lovely room with extra touches like a pack of sweets & hot chocolate as well as the usual biscuits and tea & coffee. Beautifully clean and modern. Excellent wifi and free parking within walking distance of city centre

Good pub

Tolle Unterkunft mit perfekter Pub-Atmosphäre! Wir waren mit einer Gruppe von vier Personen dort und hatten eine super Zeit! Besonders praktisch war das Zimmer direkt über dem Pub – nach einem langen und anstrengenden Tag konnten wir uns kurz frisch machen und danach direkt wieder runtergehen, um die gemütliche Pub-Atmosphäre zu genießen. Das Frühstück sowie das Essen im Allgemeinen haben uns positiv überrascht: große Portionen zu fairen Preisen und geschmacklich top! Insgesamt ein tolles Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und perfekt, wenn man das authentische Pub-Feeling erleben möchte.

식당하고 같이 운영하는 곳이라 별도 프런트가 없어서 매우 불편했음. 도착해서 식당에서 20분 정도 뻘쭘하게 기다렸음. 방은 작진 않았지만 전반적으로 칙칙하고 오랟히었음. 커피포트를 써 보려고 했는 데 안에 석회가 달라 붙어서 도저히 못쓸 정도여서 식당에서 받았음. 하지만 직원들 모두 친절했다. 역에선 가까웠으나 다시 예약하진 않을 듯.

The property was in a good location with plenty restaurants around and the bonus of onsite parking.

Earl of Derby is very well located in Cambridge. Walking distance to town and train station. The rooms are very nice, comfortable, clean and quiet. Great being attached to pub for drinks and food. Hospitality is good and not intrusive. Staff are very helpful!! Just ask.

The room was good value and nice size. Staff friendly. You check in at the bar. But noisy re bar music till very early hours but we were awake anyway. It was a bit of a trek into the town.
