This hotel is unique. Eccentric but top quality. On this, my second stay I was delighted to meet the owner who was overseeing breakfast and congratulated him on his amazing hotel. Every room is unique and dedicated to a famous person such as Che Guevara or Ada Lovelace. The breakfast is amazing: so much variety and top quality. There is a lovely roof area for drinks and also spa facilities. It is near Limehouse station and the 15 bus stops outside thus connecting from Aldwych...we used it as close to City Airport, 25 minutes away by DLR.

Excellent stay. The only downside was our room did not have a proper shower. It was a hand held device.

Super charming property and very friendly and helpful staff! Easy access to the DLR to the London Tower or Bank to connect to the underground. Would definitely stay here again.

Whent to the bar ,the bar manager had gone home , at to bring my own beer from my min bar. To watch the football the TV in my room did not work it was a bit like Forty towers .

The hotel is lovely. Very quirky which is charming. Staff were excellent and very helpful. There was problems with the televisions in the hotel during our stay which was unfortunate as we are keen football fans and wanted to watch the World Cup matches in the comfort of our room. This occurred over a few days but was working on and off for the rest of our stay. Which was good. Location for Canary Wharf area was good and also transport links. All in all a very nice hotel with exceptional staff and a high standard of cleanliness. Well done Limehouse library hotel.

Unique boutique hotel with a beautiful aesthetic interior. Convenient for East London, easy walk to DLR

Such a nice and cozy hotel. The local area is quite nice for walking with Limehouse Basin super close where you’ll find gorgeous views of the London skyline and boats. The room was nice, felt very homelike and the bathroom was nicely decorated. The reception aesthetic is unique with random dolls and ornaments all around but I find it quite cool. The bed had a memory foam mattresses that was medium to firm which is perfect for me. The pillows are a bit soft for my liking but not bad at all. Well stocked mini bar should you need it. I would stay here again.

Cosy, special ambience in a library

We thought the hotel was a very unique and stylish place, would diffinately stay again.

Such a delightful place to stay in London, a short walk from the DLR train and bus stop. There was so much to look at inside, every nook and cranny was filled with interesting tchotchkes and antiques. Each floor was filled with live plants and the rooftop garden was beautiful. Quiet rooms were available for working and many had space with tables for meetings of 10 people. The breakfast buffet was elaborate. It had anything you could want to eat and maybe even somethings you hadn't ever before. Everything was delicious. Though we did not stay long enough to take advantage of the sauna and Turkish bath, we did go look at the spa. It's the kind of place you would want to stay at least 4-5 days to relax, unwind, and enjoy all the amenities. Lovely stay.

Our experience at the Limehouse Library was fantastic. It's even better in person. Each room is designed after a person. We (three women) got the family suite and ours was after a Turkish doctor, Dr. Türkan Saylan. The suite felt like a mini apartment and was spacious, well designed, and overall a fun/quirky place to stay. I'd absolutely book again next time I'm in London. Oh! And all the staff was so helpful and kind. They helped carry our luggage up and down. Wanted to highlight the rooftop terrace as well, a beautiful and private spot to wind down. The security to our area made us feel even better. The only negative things I can think of is the shower set up and the area itself. The "door" of the shower only covers about a third of the tub so after a quick rinse, the floor is soaked. It wasn't a real problem, but definitely worth noting if need be. The area is a little on the fringe but coming from LA, I didn't find it intimidating (for female travelers). Just pay attention to the lifts at the nearby station, sometimes they're "occupied." Had a great time!

Nice, compact room. Hotel ideally located near a train station, taking you into Central London.

Only a single night stay but very happy with my stay. Unfortunately besides sleeping and breakfast I only spent about 20 minutes here as I was attending a function. Intriguing decorations and some might find some of the 'nick nacks' spread around the hotel a bit OTT especially if you don't like things like clowns and dolls. The bedroom theme in the room I stayed was interesting and towards the subtle end. When you turn the TV on in your room it plays information about what/who the room is based on. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and warm, there is a/c in the room the bathroom was a little small but perfectly functional. The breakfast buffet was excellent with plenty of choice. Some Mediterranean food made a nice addition to breakfast, plus the traditional Full English. I'd stay again.

The hotel was unique & interesting. Staff pleasant. Bar & food good. Bedroom on the small side, but not unpleasant for a one night stay.

I’ve stayed in many hotels over the years and this has got to be one of the worst check-in experiences I’ve ever had. Why does everyone have to show photo ID? It’s officious and over-reaching. I’ve paid up front, I’ve provided a rather hefty £100 deposit and I’ve shown my ID…. Why does everyone else? It’s only by luck my partner had ID with him when he arrived later otherwise the Reception seriously were saying they weren’t going to let him stay. Very stressful experience, not what you want when checking into a relaxing boutique hotel. Absolutely would not recommend

Loved this hotel, if I could live there I would! Sadly too short stay to manage to enjoy breakfast, dining room or hammam but looking fwd to next time!

We loved our stay at the Limehouse Library Hotel. The property is full of personality, and we enjoyed exploring the unique rooms and cozy seating areas throughout the hotel. It was the perfect place to relax after a long day of exploring London. The staff were also very helpful. Highly recommended.

It is a very quirky hotel and nice to be able to see inside a beautiful old building. We were given a Castro branded room, which was like sleeping in a kids room. Checking in is an overly long experience, necessitating QR codes, ID checks and a £100 pre-authorisation. You don’t often see queues to check in anymore but this all adds up to an odd start to the stay. I’m sure there are nice things to say about Limehouse as a destination?…
