Location is great, and having parking in Rye is a real plus. BUT ….. - no longer offering evening meal - a real downer for me - smell of bleach / cleaning products in bedroom and hall areas was unpleasant - poor TV reception. Kept going on and off. And when I asked at reception about this the staff member came 3 hrs later.

The River Haven is in a great position by the river, and a short walk to the beautiful historical area of Rye. There is plenty of parking. The staff are very friendly, and breakfast is excellent, with plenty of choice.

Good location to explore Rye and the Nature Reserve. Room comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was plentiful Staff helpful and generally friendly. Price reasonable and there is parking on site.

About 5 minutes walk from Rye old town, markets, shops and restaurants. Hotel, although a little jaded round the edges decoration wise, was lovely and clean and comfortable. Bedrooms were a good size, comfortable beds and pillows and bathrooms very clean. All public areas were clean and tidy. Staff were very pleasant and couldn't do enough for you. Good bar with an area outside with seating overlooking the river. And, breakfast was wonderful and many options. Would stay here again if down in Rye overnight.

When we arrived we were given a room that was not been serviced. Looked like someone just left in a hurry the second room was acceptable but room 19 has a very loud extractor fan .it was clean and quiet good sized The breakfast in the morning is really good the service us excellent There's plenty of parking spaces

Our room was up in the eaves with 1 small velux window and no window in the bathroom and it was 28 degs. We had to keep our door open to the corridor and there was a fire exit door open down the corridor we got a through draft but obviously that wasn't private having our door open. You had 1 person on reception and after waiting for someone to come to the bar after 10 mins I went to the reception and the lady said oh that's me , I'm the only one here and doing the reception and bar . The breakfast table was very limited , cooked breakfast ok but no croissants etc just toast, cereal and apples and bananas.

Staff are very friendly,but property is showing its age.Blind in bedroom didn’t work properly,toilet flush missing the button and light above mirror not working.

Lovely location. Family room was spacious & clean. Plenty of storage. Shower was lovely & hot, plenty of towels available. Breakfast was delicious enough to stop you being hungry. Staff were attentive, pleasant & very helpful. Area is nice & peaceful at certain times of day. Highly recommend 👍

Excellent customer service from the lovely lady at reception! Breakfast was great- continental with the option to order a hot meal too (the scrambled eggs on toast was delicious). We had an early train booked for our checkout day however the hotel arranged a takeaway breakfast which we really appreciated. Room spacious and clean - we’d absolutely return!
