We had the best time at this resort! Every single staff member we met was absolutely amazing — so kind, welcoming, and always going out of their way to make sure we were happy. A huge shoutout to Ali, who took us snorkeling and on the dolphin cruise — such an incredible experience and he made it even better! Abba took such great care of us on the beach, always checking in and making sure our drinks were full and we were comfortable. Queen greeted us every morning and afternoon with the biggest smile — she truly brightened our days. And Steven was one of the best servers we’ve ever had — attentive, friendly, and just an all-around great person. Honestly, every single team member we came across made us feel so special. You can tell they all love what they do. We left feeling so grateful and can’t wait to come back again soon!

Service varies from day to day, some staff are very well trained some not so much. Misleading information about Spa vouchers, we received an offer of two massage per person but when checking out we were asked to pay for those. Beach is flooded with locals offering various tours, massages, selling souvenirs, it is making it very unpleasant to walk between beach chairs and water. Something needs to be done to make guests feel safe and comfortable on the beach.

The Mora was fantastic from check-in to check-out! The incredible beach, the amazing restaurants, and the impeccable staff all made this trip one for the books!

My partner and I really enjoyed the hotel. The staff was extremely friendly, and were very patient with our attempts to speak Swahili. They had a ton of amenities, and classes during the day (ie. workouts, bracelet making, activities, etc.), which was nice since the location is a bit far and somewhat secluded. The beach was stunning (but you could only swim during high tide but the sand was gorgeous), and because it was secluded there weren't a ton of people trying to sell things. We loved the pools and variety of food offered at the buffet and restaurants.

Spa was lovely to look at but the massage was terrible i must say was very rushed and lazy and not attentive. Otherwise i loved everything else it was an amazing honeymoon.

Not impressed with this hotel. Sheets and towels were dirty when checked in. Very difficult to get a lunchtime booking at beach restaurant for the whole time I was there

Nous avons séjourné 11 jours au Mora et je recommande cet hôtel sans hésiter ! Le personnel est adorable, souriant et réactif. Nous avons eu un problème indépendant de l’hôtel avec notre chambre : après petite négociation, ils nous ont surclassés et offert un massage, preuve d’un vrai service client de qualité. Les chambres sont élégantes, bien agencées et confortables. Pour une ouverture récente (printemps 2024), quelques détails d’entretien sont à améliorer (joints de douche, sièges tachés, bordures abîmées…), mais le ménage quotidien est impeccable. La restauration est exceptionnelle : buffet varié et délicieux, trois restaurants à la carte (bon mais service parfois lent). Les bars sont agréables, la salle de sport bien équipée et les piscines magnifiques avec vue sur Mnemba. La plage est splendide, sable blanc et transats, même si les marées obligent parfois à alterner avec la piscine. L’application mobile The Mora est un vrai plus : réservation des restaurants, excursions, room service, ménage, navettes… elle facilite énormément l’organisation, surtout pour un long séjour. L’emplacement est calme et reposant, face à Mnemba et ses bancs de sable idéals pour le snorkeling. Compter cependant 1h30 à 2h pour rejoindre l’aéroport ou Stone Town, et environ 1h pour Nungwi. Le rapport qualité-prix est excellent compte tenu du standing, du service et des prestations. . Un lieu magnifique, reposant, avec une restauration excellente

I had an unforgettable honeymoon at Mora Resort Zanzibar. The room was comfortable and beautifully maintained, providing a perfect retreat. The beach was pristine with clean white sand, and the clear sea water made for stunning views and relaxing swims. The customer service was absolutely top-notch—friendly, attentive, and always eager to help. The dining options across all the restaurants were fantastic, offering delicious food with a variety of choices. But what I loved most were the breathtaking views of the beach that made every moment even more special. Overall, it was a truly memorable experience, and I highly recommend Mora Resort Zanzibar for a romantic getaway.

The Mora was the best hotel I have ever been to. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was super clean. They cater to your every needs. I felt super safe! Security is everywhere to ensure your safety. I will be back.

Beautiful property, we are so glad we chose the Mora. The staff was friendly and helpful. They have everything you need. The food and drink options were plentiful. The buffet has plenty of options and the Indian food was amazing. The beach front was gorgeous. You don’t need to leave the property and explore the island but you can if needed. Thank you Mora!

Property was beautiful, but the room furnishing and condition of the bathroom could be updated if this is to be 5 stars. There was mildew on the shower walls that I couldn’t unsee while taking a shower and the couch in the room looks basic for 5 stars.

We had a wonderful stay at The Mora. The facilities are great, the beach is lovely, the spa is magical and the dive school was awesome. We enjoyed the variety of food at the various restaurants and highly recommend the Teppanyaki one night. All the staff were fabulous and very friendly, Elizabeth was particularly helpful ensuring we got restaurant bookings - Asante sana!

I have travelled a lot and by far this is one of the best hotels I have visited. All the staff are friendly, Mwajabu, Mary, Mariam (at shisha), Simone…..the list is too long. Will definitely be back!

Beautiful new resort. Very spacious. Many pool areas and lounge areas. Great friendly staff /service. Feels 5 star. Great food at the buffet and restaurants. But hard to book restaurants. We only were able to book one dinner out of 5 nights. Always booked up.
