Really charming hotel with unique decor. Our host, Rhonda, provides great customer service and has put a lot of thought and care into every detail of the hotel. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a cozy special stay in Sacramento.

We loved the Alice in Wonderland room, such a unique experience! The bed was very comfortable and the decor was really fun.

The host was a lovely person who greeted us and showed us to our room right when we got there! My boyfriend and I were celebrating our birthdays and this hotel ended up being the right choice for us :). I definitely would recommend staying here, it was peaceful and exactly the victorian vibes I was looking for. Also the beds were so comfortable very cozy vibes overall!

It was a unique experience to say the least. The shared restroom was the only surprising thing that I encountered. Other than that it was a great stay. Would definitely recommend the Alice in wonderland room to anyone who is looking for something that is out of the ordinary.

Staying here was incredible! You're walking into and sleeping in a pure artistic dream! Every detail in the interior design of the Harbinson House brings pure joy to your senses. Not only are you surrounded by artistic fantasy, you experience the comfort of a cloudy soft bed and linens. Rhonda ensured that every detail of my stay exceeded my expectations. She is an amazing host! I'm looking forward to staying there again when I'm in that area! I can't recommend it enough!

This is a magical place. Everything is beautifully decorated and curated. There are little special details everywhere. The host was extremely kind and welcoming. There were little high quality amenities like water bottles, toothbrushes, soaps, snacks, etc. We stayed in the French room and the bed was cozy and comfortable. I wish I had stayed here for a week instead of just one night. Highly recommend!!

Rhonda is a friendly host and the Harbinger House is cozy and safe. Perfect for me as a single traveler! The house is amazing and filled with carefully curated, whimsical decor. Modern fixtures in the bath and shower play well with the otherwise vintage feel of the home. Parking is easy and access to midtown and the freeway was great. I loved walking to breakfast and seeing the beautiful homes, and being there during the Christmas season was a treat!

Not your typical hotel experience but rather a feeling of being home and distressing from the realities of life. The decor felt like you were back in time, with all the Victorian furniture and the room (French Room) filled with a lot of history *with a modern twist* Room was clean and comfortable, as well as the restroom. Even though it was a communal bathroom, it was kept clean and well stocked with towels and toiletries. The owner was really informative and knowledgeable about the house and really welcoming to any guests that stays there! If I’m ever in the area again, I would definitely book a room!

Thoroughly enjoyed the unique experience in the Alice in Wonderland room. I also used the Mind and Body room for some exercise.

It was a comfortable space and cute. I dont think i was clear that it was a shared bathroom which was ok this time. There is no outlet that i could find in the bathroom. My stay was super short but i would stay again.

We stayed in the Alice and wonderland room. The room was so cute and had so much personality. The whole house is amazing with so much history and unique decor. It feels like you are staying in a piece of history while still having some of the amenities that make things comfortable like a TV, comfy bed, and a fridge/microwave.
