Lovely clean quiet room. The host was very friendly, even coming out to give our daughter food to feed the fish in the pond with which she enjoyed. The breakfast was plentiful with a good range. Will stay again next time we’re in the area.

I was given room 3 which was average and definitely not like the advertised photos or reviews, there was not hot water which happens, I was then given an 'up grade' to an upstairs room where the shower head was broken and the electric shower when set at medium went from cold to burning on its own, clearly faulty. Bed was very comfortable but the room was dated. Unable to offer comment on the breakfast as I had to leave before it started, 8am is quite late for midweek.

Very impressed with The Manor. Super quiet location although in the centre of town. Room was spacious, clean and warm. Wi-fi worked well. Breakfast was delivered prompt (8-9am) with plenty to choose from. We only met the owner/manager who was very attentive and friendly. He also had lots of suggestions of things to do whilst visiting the area. Overall, it was good value for money and we’d stay again if back in the area.

We had a great stay at Manor Guest house, it is a good location, with a large car park round the back of the building. Breakfast was fresh with a good selection of continental and cooked food, juice and hot drinks. Staff were excellent, and really helpful. We plan to stay again.

Staff were very helpful when our son left his wallet in the room after checkout and contacted us immediately. Nice hotel in a great location for Alton Towers with an unlimited cooked and continental breakfast Would stay again

Plenty of parking with easy access to rooms.Room good size but just needs a bit of attention. Curtains hanging down a bit,2 out of 3 bedside lights not working and some coffee sachets out of date. You have to order breakfast night before,personally dont like this as never know what will feel like,but was beautifully cooked. Easy walk into village where selection of food available for dinner.

The room was great. We stayed in 1A. Clean and spacious. Just needs a mirror in the room so you dont have to stand with bathroom door open when drying hair. Breakfast was yummy. Plenty of continental to choose from. Staff very courteous and professional.

We stayed at the hotel for one night before a trip to Alton Towers. The staff were really really welcoming and friendly throughout the stay. The room was bright clean and tidy and well maintained. The breakfast was a buffet style and there were plenty of options on offer. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if we are ever back in the area.

Yes fresh breakfast though very Very peppery, lots of black pepper on everything. Parking very difficult,, one way system, no parking out the front.

Visited the manor for a stopover before visiting Alton Towers. Warm and friendly welcome, with our breakfast pre-order taken which meant we could get going in plenty of time to the theme park. Rooms have everything you need for an overnight pit stop; plenty of tea and coffee, decent bed, TV, and spacious bathroom. The towels were a bit small and we were missing one, but it was quickly sorted the next morning. Locally a few places for food and drink including budget friendly options. The photo I've uploaded is the view from the front of room 6.

We stayed at The Manor Guesthouse for 2 nights in Room no.3. Reception is at the back of the property via the large car park and attractive garden. Reception is not always staffed but you are given a telephone number for 24hr contact. Our room along with several others was in an extension to the main building and had the appearance of a motel. The room was quite basic with a double and a single (not needed) bed, dressing table, chair, mirror and bedside cabinet. Looking at the website the picture shows our room to be an economy double with one side of our bed up close to a radiator. We had paid £233 for the two nights and expected more. Added to this the broadband packed up and the TV stopped working. The mattress was uncomfortable as it was rather springy. Our room was not serviced although we made a point of coming out of our room to allow for this (you have to be out of your room between 11am and 1.30pm). Breakfast at Weatherspoons on the Saturday morning was fine but they only allow a £7 voucher which covers the smaller Full English and coffee. On the Sunday the breakfast in the guesthouse was excellent with hot and cold food available. An easy chair in the room would have been nice. In my opinion this is more a 3 star establishment than 4 star. We were disappointed but did not let it spoil our visit.

My mum and I had a wonderful stay at this gorgeous hotel. It’s set around a beautiful, tranquil courtyard garden with a Koi fishpond. The room was lovely, clean, fresh and quiet. The owner is adorable, friendly and couldn’t do enough to accommodate us including a last minute room change to a family room. I will definitely be staying here again. If I could give you 10*s, I would. Congratulations on a perfect hotel.

Excellent little hotel, the staff was amazing and the breakfast top notch! Room was well equipped and very clean. Pleasant experience all around.
