The room we got was stunning and everything was incredibly clean and well maintained. The only comment I have is that it is not easy to contact the staff. The Spa was closed (at least we weren't able to open it). I tried calling the number provided several times to ask about it, but I never got a response. Finally, the AC unit in our room was turned on and there were no instructions on how to turn it off or anything. I tried calling to ask, but again no answer. We had to turn on the heating for a few hours during nighttime and it ended up being fine. This was on a Tuesday and a Wednesday during regular business hours, so I was surprised that no one picked up.

If you book through Expedia make sure you get check in info before. Owner usually sends text with key pad code but Expedia doesn’t give them phone number or email. They do try to send message through Expedia but that didn’t work either. Not the owners fault. Expedia needs to change their system. Once I got hold of the Lodge people the person I spoke to was super helpful.

I was quite disappointed with the lodge. I made a reservation at 2:00 p.m. for the same evening, and when I arrived, I still had not received the code to access the room. There was no one there to welcome us, and fortunately we happened to meet other guests who were able to contact the person responsible for check-in on our behalf. The view from the room is nice, but overall it felt more like an overpriced motel. The bed made a very loud noise whenever we moved, and the room was positioned in such a way that other guests could easily look inside and see us in bed. I would also like to point out that we were unable to lock the door when leaving the room. In theory, anyone could have entered and taken our belongings while we were away.

It was very peaceful and clean interior

This was an amazing stay for the kind of gateway I was looking for. There’s lots of parking spots and easy to navigate. The room had a good balcony lake view, kitchen is well equipped with a microwave, fridge, kettle, coffee maker with coffee/tea pods and cutlery. The room is nice and cosy with just one cosy chair though. The bed was comfy although the comforter and pillows smelled not so good; The odour felt like the beddings had been re-used and hadn’t been washed from previous stays. The bathroom grout was actually not so clean and just pouring water down the walls I could see dirt sweeping off. Plastic Shower curtain could use a good wash too. Otherwise generally I enjoyed my stay here and would definitely revisit again! Hope next time the bathroom is cleaner and beddings too! :-)

The place was truly amazing, and we were captivated by the breathtaking view. The only downside was the BBQ, which, unfortunately, was spoiled and couldn't be used. Despite that, we highly recommend The Lodge and definitely plan to return in the future. Hopefully, by then, the BBQ issue will be resolved, allowing us to enjoy a meal while fully watching the stunning sunset.

We booked the same day as our arrival and never received any information on how to check in — a small but telling detail. I called Jason and we were given the code, with not many apologies. We were in Suite 3 — worth noting for anyone booking: the photos on Hotels.com are of Suite 4. Suite 3 faces both the lake and the parking lot, so keep the blinds closed unless you're comfortable being part of the scenery. The stairway and balcony looked as though they hadn't been swept or cleaned since last season — possibly the season before. The A/C remote was missing, leaving us unable to turn off the cold air blowing directly over the bed. I called the assistance number twice with no answer, sent a text to Jason, and am still waiting. Needless to say, it made for an uncomfortable sleep. The floors were also dirty. The bathroom lighting is exceptionally poor, and the dark shower curtain makes it feel like you're showering in the dark — a bold design choice for a room that charges for comfort. Other than that, it was fine. But we wouldn't book here again based on the price-to-customer-service ratio — and the ratio was not flattering.

Views were breathtaking and the amenities were amazing! Worth every penny and will be coming back regularly that’s forsure!

The location is perfect. Couldn’t have asked for more. I had an issue with cleanliness, pet hair in blankets, found underwear in extendable sofa bed which clearly states that property wasn’t cleaned properly. No staff at the property and when tried to contact for issues, no response. I personally think if paying a price, one deserves a quality. We absolutely loved the property but it needs looking after.

We were able to check into the room early so that was nice. The view was nice. There was no remote for the AC unit (suite 2) the fireplace would fall right out. The smoke detector went off in our room, I think because another suite set their smoke detector off. I messaged the staff via Expedia app and also texted the resort directly when I required assistance. No response at all so that was very disappointing. Thus resort had no front office, no lobby or restaurant so next time we will stay right in town to be close to amenities, restaurants etc.

Beautiful property, will be returning!!

This is a beautiful location. We stayed in one of the Suites and while i give a 5/5 for cleanliness and the overall grounds I have to say I was disappointed by a few things. We were on a bottom floor suite with people above us who lef their dog in the room early in the morning and it howled and howled waking us up. While this isn't a hotel issue i did text asking if the owners could be contacted to come back and get their dog. At the same time I asked if it was possible to get some extra towels. The response was a thumbs up. Thats it. Towels showed up like 7-8 hours later and unsure how long the dog howled for as we got up and went into town for coffee. Anyway, the property itself is absolutely stunning and we would give it a 2nd stay just based on that but it was disappointing that our 2 small issues could'nt be resolved quickly.

Beautiful location on the water. Views from the cabin are lovely, nothing but water. Some maintenance issues with the unit. Could use an extra set of sheets, blankets, etc. Expensive for what's provided especially in winter when there are limited things to do. There was a bad windstorm our last night. Power went out and shortly after no running water. There were emergency flashlights but neither worked. Only found one extra blanket in the closet so made for a very cold night with no heat or water. Should have some kind of back up lights, generator for the heater, or something. Left first thing the next morning unable to shower or clean up.
