I'm sorry to say we were quite disappointed. When we arrived it was quite inferior to a hotel we had been staying at the night before (for which we paid less). We like "quaint" hotels, but this was old-feeling in the wrong ways. The common areas did not seem like the photos- instead, dark and worn. If I had paid less, it would not have been such an issue and would have felt more "fair," perhaps. We were so unhappy that we decided to leave one night early, accept the $ loss and stay elsewhere so that we could thoroughly enjoy our precious time in Switzerland.

Breakfast was okay … lacked warm protein like scrambled eggs &/or bacon/cooked sausage, or warm potato, etc. For the relatively high price, tiny bathroom, super tiny shower, no real TV.

Location location location. Other than that I liken the accommodations to my sons dorm Room. Sparse and practical.

Das Hotelzimmer war im Vergleich zum Preis von > CHF 300.-- pro Nacht ein Loch mit einem kleinen Fenster, dem Lavabo im Zimmer, die Dusche und das WC sehr klein und die Sauberkeit am unteren Ende. Zudem war das Frühstück sehr bescheiden und im Vergleich zu den Bildern und den Bewertungen unterdurchschnittlich. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich, die Bedienung im Restaurant eher bescheiden, da weder die Eier noch das Wasser aufgefüllt waren. Als wir sie darauf aufmerksam machten, hat sie eher schnippisch reagiert.

The service was very friendly. The receptionist Ben was very polite, helpful, and excited to see us upon arrival and check out. Comfortable stay and hotel restaurant had nice service by Gloria with flavorful food.

Our room was spacious with an incredible Mountain View and large outdoor balcony. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Great place to stay if you’re in that part of Switzerland.

Very comfortable hotel, all of the staff were very welcoming. Room was a nice size, I had a balcony which was a nice plus. Bed was super cozy, bathroom was fine. Breakfast was nice, had dinner one night and it was good. It’s about a 15 minute walk from the train station and a 1 minute walk to the cable car. Plenty of hiking from Murren but also access to plenty of options in the valley.

Didn’t end up in Switzerland at this hotel but customer service was great

The location was great, it is located next to the lift for Schilthorn. Free breakfast. Mountain view from our balcony. The only complaint is the dining option, you have to make reservations and the staff in the restaurant were not kind at all and just rude. We went to Hotel Jungfrau and had a wonderful dinner and listened to live music, no reservations needed. We liked Hotel Alpenruh but would not stay there again.

Too Far from Train Station and Pick Up Service is not available. Breakfast Menu is not Good.. One Staff serving too many guests. Vegetarian Options are almost negligible during Breakfast. I would not recommend this hotel. Overrated and Overpriced hotel

Excellent location, great staff

What a beautiful location . Best room with a view I’ve ever had

Booked a room for 3 adults including an extra bed. That extra bed was a cot meant for children with an incredibly thin mattress and feet hanging off. You could feel each slat and was extremely uncomfortable. you can hear the cable car run all day and night from your room with the windows open, so don't expect a quiet atmosphere. For 300 CHF per night we expected a lot better.

Location and view were superb!

This property is the iconic Swiss hotel with friendly staff and spectacular views. Our room was on the lowest floor but still had a Mountain View. However, it shared a public terrace instead of a private terrace, which was the case of the upper floors. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay very much.

It is a beautiful hotel at a town that is like a fairy tale. We had a room with the Mountain View and lucked out to have 2 sunny days. The hotel is very central to several walking trails, train and gondola stations. Breakfast was fine although did not have any hot/warm options. But great bread cheese fruit etc. We ate dinner twice at the hotel - the food was good. The hotel is highly recommended.
