We are in our 70’s and the property was hard to maneuver, the walks were uneven and they had lots of holes. The whole hut we stayed in was completely uneven. I felt like I was drunk just trying to take a shower. And the shower had no drain. It went right on to the ground. But the shower head was great. The air conditioning didn’t work very good. We moved our bed so it we would be right under it. The pool didn’t have any thing to hold on to to get in or out of the pool which is not bad if you’re not old. But the beach which is across a path used by taxis all day, was really nice you could walk for days out there. And we spent most of our time there. The breakfast was good and fresh. The staff was nice. But if you wanted anything other than what was on it , it was extra. Like a omelette or cappuccino. There were scrambled eggs , sometimes they had ham in them. And fresh fruit, bread, nachos I think I didn’t try it, potatoes pancakes, some kind of sweet rolls.cereal, milk hot water and coffee. It was all self serve. It was And I didn’t mind that. The servers were very good at being there to pick up anything you’re were done with. And if you asked for anything they would get it. All in all it was not what I thought it was going to be. Oh wait my husband said to include that there was not TV. lol. So I guess if you’re looking for a place to completely get way from everything and you’re young and agile it’s a good place for you.

No funcionó el aire acondicionado. Lo arreglaron pero el Ventilador de la habitación no lograron corregirlo. La mitad de la habitación no tenía aire frío. Los techos de las habitaciones son de palma.

The hotel as well as the beach location were ideal for our trip to Holbox! It was a short walk down the beach to the main part of town, we did not find any need to take a cab in for dinner each night, it was safe and always busy with other people doing the same thing. Breakfast was a huge bonus! The food was always fresh and there was plenty of it. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great boutique hotel setting on a quieter part of the beach while still being close to restaurants.

Love staying at Blue Holbox!!

Perfect spot for a quiet, no hassle vacation! Staff is friendly, on-site restaurant and bar are great for the times you don’t want to go into town. Food and beverage service on the beach, great view of the sunsets. Very convenient location, only a 15 minute walk to town. Room was clean, comfortable and safe. We will be back!

Great stay. Bungalows were large and comfortable. Grounds were maintained and clean. Daily breakfast was good!

Only thing that needs addressing is the food. It needs more variety and the fruits need to be cold in ice everything else was great. It was a great experience and a very nice getaway thank you.

Amazing location, and the property is beautiful! A few things to keep in mind: they provide wristbands that are used as your room key, but they aren't very secure. We ended up losing one and had to pay a 500-peso replacement fee. I recommend not wearing it and instead keeping it somewhere safe. If you're traveling during the rainy season, be aware that the huts could use some maintenance. During one rainy day, we noticed water dripping through the roof. It wasn't enough to get us wet, but the occasional drips were a bit uncomfortable. Also, there is no TV or mirror in the room, which made it a little inconvenient when getting ready. The pool is nice, but it's small and shallow, so it's better suited for kids than adults. Other than those minor issues, we had an amazing stay and really enjoyed the property!

Definitivamente regresaríamos, las habitaciones están limpias y son muy bellas, el concepto del hotel es buenisimo. Teníamos un poco de miedo por los comentarios del desayuno y lo de los animalitos, pero cero, si se llega a aparecer uno que otro mapache o iguanas, pero nada loco. El desayuno está súper bien, nada de lo que queramos quejarnos. Sin duda alguna, es una muy buena opción para hospedarse en Holbox.

Buena opción, pero no para descansar. En general la experiencia fue buena. La ubicación es excelente frente a una playa hermosa y a 10 min del centro con mini súper cercano. Las habitaciones en que nos hospedamos son las de precio más accesible, están en la parte trasera del hotel a unos metros de la calle principal. Desafortunadamente esto causaba mucho ruido cada que pasaba un transporte. Pero el problema mayor fue el diseño de las habitaciones: estilo palapa con techo de paja. Terrible idea. En consecuencia el aire acondicionado apenas logra enfriar la habitación, se escucha mucho ruido del exterior, incluso si un pájaro o mapache camina por encima. Pero no lo más molesto es que todos esos cuartos tiene una ventana SIN persiana - considera en la isla amanece a las 6:00am - por lo que nos fue imposible dormir cómodamente. Además, personal de aseo de áreas comunes indican a.l rebajar desde 6:30am y les permiten tener música con ellos, despertando a los huéspedes. Fuera de eso, el restaurante, áreas comunes y atención en general fue buena.
