pool area disgusting, water filthy area around pool dirty. room not cleaned, had to ring front desk for water.No bar although advertised. Very disappointed

Overall, the stay was great at Primeland. As for cheaper hotels in India that I’ve stayed at, it is one of the better ones. The location is not ideal, however, it is not too far out of the way. The staff were kind and helpful in connecting us with a great driver for a day. The breakfast was very good (both quality and selection was excellent). The air conditioning was not working in my room and the wifi in room was quite poor. If I returned to Varanasi, I would certainly stay at the hotel again.
