Really central and new hotel. Staff very friendly. However checkin was multi step and tedious. Room card has to be used 4 times to get in to lift, corridors and then room. Loved the breakfast.

I booked a room, which turned out to be very cold. I booked this premium hotel to be comfortable, and I wasn't. I called about this in the evening and they came to fix it. I also called in the morning, but no one came. I might be old-fashioned, but back in the day there would be immediate compensation for a satisfactory resolution, i.e. free breakfast. Something like this would have made up for the issue, but nothing was offered. Feels like "thank you for your £200+, we dont care how it was for you, we are just happy to have your money". There are cheaper hotels nearby for a matching comfort level.

Lovely hotel and well situated in the heart of Oxford.

Checked in on line prior to our visit, using our passports, but staff still insisted on seeing id when we arrived. Luckily I had my driving licence with me. The staff member that dealt with us regarding the id, treated us as though we were an inconvenience. Not the best welcome to the hotel. The younger member of staff that showed us to the lift was much more welcoming and pleasant. Lovely hotel decor, comfortable beds, complimentary drinks and chocolate in the room were appreciated. Great central location.

Lovely, modern boutique hotel centrally located. Opted to include breakfast and it did not disappoint. Also some nice touches in the room such as complementary still and flavoured waters in the fridge and a large chocolate bar. Only drawback was the lack of parking. Nearest car park was 15 minutes away and about £40 for 24 hours of parking. The staff were helpful as they have to bring a trolley to the nearest area available to stop the car for loading our luggage. Also, I realized later we were supposed to enjoy the benefits of a VIP upgrade but we never received anything (and I booked two rooms) but I happen to overhear the couple in front of me who were given a free upgrade to a suite - so not sure what happened. Nonetheless it was a very nice hotel and I would stay there again.

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed and I spend 200/220 days a year touring Europe or the States. Not only The Stores provides great design in every area (room, spa, restaurant, lobby) but what makes all the difference is a superb staff of young and highly motivated people who go always the extra mile to make u feel at home but also extra special. I can mention Alicia at front desk but everyone of them were both profesional and warm during our 7 nights stay. We were celebrating my sister's 65 years old and upon arrival our suite was nicely prepare with balloons, a bottle of champagne and an exquisite flower bouquet with handwritten cards for both of us. On top of delicious chocolate and replenish of the minibar (complementary) and fresh made breakfast our seven days flew away in a city we love. Have always stayed at The Randolph but The Store checks all the right boxes and will be our must stay when in Oxford. Thanks a lot for your kindness, for a job so well done. Congrats! We'll be back for sure....more days!

Excellent staff

This a new, contemporary and very upscale hotel in the heart of Oxford. The lobby and rooms are beautiful. Service was very good. The one tragic flaw here is parking. This area of Oxford is off limits to cars and you must park offsite at a park and ride or a garage. Park and ride means take a 30 minute bus ride, then walk (with all of your luggage) a few blocks to the hotel. The closest garage is about $60 a day and still requires you drag your luggage through cobblestone streets to the hotel. There isn’t even an option to drop your luggage then go park. Seems unreasonable ask for a hotel that is charging very high rates. Maybe a shuttle service would help. This situation really hurt our experience a lot

Great luxury property. Staff is excellent. Beds are very comfortable. The towels have too much lint. That was a daily issue, but it’s a lovely property and rooms are comfortable. The safety of the property is also high level.

Officious staff, poor information provision, slow check in, tiny hotel rooms, marks all over the hotel room floor and walls, hotel room rug not clean, cast to TV did not work (didn't much care, but don't say it's offered if it doesn't work), TV guide function worked once, on the 4th attempt, and never again thereafter (ditto), thermostat would not go below 19 (and temperature took forever to drop, even blasting the fan), and the sink drained extremely slowly ... if you want a gimmick hotel that seems to have spent most of its money on its website and it's misleading photographs, and if you are willing to walk several blocks (possibly in the rain) for the privilege (they don't offer onsite parking or valet parking or shuttle buses ... any of which I would have been willing to pay for), knock yourself out ... otherwise, don't waste your time or money ... it only had to be "okay" to justify the not insignificant cost of the rooms, and it couldn't even manage that. In case it's not clear, not happy.

Really enjoyed our stay at The Store. All the staff were great, room was great and the rooftop bar was amazing. Great location, will definitely stay there again.

Parking was a problem

Lovely hotel, beautiful lobby, perfect location. Our room was a little small, so check the room size if that’s important to you. The bathroom and shower were wonderful, and the bed is very comfortable.

Fantastic location. Rooms are tiny, ours was not square which made movement around the bed a challenge. If my partner was in the child size chair (not joking, it was small and low) and I wanted to get to the restroom on the other side of the bed, we would have to switch positions. To get to our room required a key card in the lift and the hallway, then another press button door. All of these “fire doors” slam shut constantly as people come and go. I cannot tell if it is a safety feature or not? Also there is nowhere to store luggage, not even a rack included. There is a skinny wardrobe with hangars and safe, small mini bar but it would be virtually impossible to get your luggage inside. The bed was hard and had only a sheet topper. We were gone the majority of the day and still had to ask for housekeeping-and even then got an “ok” as if asking was normal. To end on a POSITIVE NOTE! We did utilize the spa for massages and they were INCREDIBLE and made up for any negativity re: the small rooms. I would go back to The Store for a massage or if they renovate some rooms by combining 2 to create 1 normal size space.
