Great little property with friendly staff and everything needed for a quick business trip!

This is the third time I’ve stayed at this property. First time was wonderful. Second time was good except I had a room facing second Avenue which was a bit noisy. This time, I hit the jackpot. A room by reception with no window which may sound attractive, but I thrilled because it is so quiet. I’m here for our trip and to stay so close to my office and have a quite nice sleep as a dream. The bathroom is huge. The room is clean. The air-conditioning works and I’m in heaven thank you. No thank you.

This was an ideal spot for a quick solo trip to NYC. The single/twin rooms are tiny and cozy -- reminded me of being in a cruise ship cabin! -- and thoughtfully designed with everything one needs. Earplugs were provided in case of street noise, but for a Saturday-night stayover I didn't find I needed them as Second Ave is quiet on a Sunday morning. Convenient spot with a neighborhood feel, Grand Central is just a short walk away. Getting into the building late after staff hours was easy with the key card, and coffee and breakfast pastries the next morning were appreciated.

Convenient hotel if attending the US Open.

The room is small and basic, but the bed is very comfortable. The hotel is clean and has a very convenient location in a quiet area, away from the noise and hustle of central New York. It’s a great option for solo travelers with light luggage who are looking for practicality and a good rest.

Very comfortable room.

We really enjoyed our stay at the little Charlie hotel. We especially enjoyed having our breakfast that we purchased from another location on the rooftop. Great little addition at the hotel. Our one complaint was the water pressure in the shower was weak and the temperature of the water was not hot enough. Room size with a little small, but that is to be expected from a New York City hotel. The staff was fantastic, complementary coffee, croissants muffins apples in the morning was also great. Very cute hotel, would definitely stay there again.

It was small but comfortable for two. We were by the street so it was alittle noisy. The most important thing is it was clean and everyone was helpful.

Rooms are small. Smaller than you can imagine. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The lobby furnishings need a good cleaning -couches look dirty. TV in our room did not work and no one on site to fix. In the morning the elevator wasn’t working so had to walk up and down the 4 flights. If you need a quick place to sleep, it’s adequate, but otherwise there are far better options for not that much more money.

The hotel is very nice, in a good location. Near by site of interest. The emploee very kind. I will suggest.

Rooms are small, very small, but cozy and nothing is missing. Good for a couple for a few nights or for singles. Personnel is great, friendly and supportive. The rooftop is top and open air complimentary breakfast is a must (breakfast available in the lobby and then transfer to the rooftop). Many nice restaurants in the surrounding areas. Recommended.

Beyond the shower's very low water pressure, this was a great stay for the value, and the location was really convenient!

This was an extremely small room. Like, closet sized. It was perfectly comfortable for a single person for a single night, but the half-sized sink was messy to use. Like so many hotels everywhere, you could hear everyone slamming their doors and talking in the halls, and a continuous, loud thunking sound forced me out of bed at 7 am on a Sunday morning. Water pressure in the shower not so great. The elevator was fast, breakfast in the morning more than adequate. Bed very comfy. Towels generous and that rooftop mini-garden is very cute. Great location. Very clean. Quick check in. Emails beg for a 5 star review but i cannot give it - so sorry!

The Little Charlie is a great hotel. The staff is very friendly, the spaces are very clean. We stayed in a king bedroom. The bed is pushed up against a wall, so only 1 side is available for entering & exiting the bed. The bed is incredibly comfortable! There is a good amount of noise from the street & the hotel provides earplugs. We didn't need them, since we can truly sleep through anything. The shower had low water pressure. The neighborhood is centrally located & very easy to grab a cab or walk to the subway. In the end, I think the room is best suited for 1 person.
