Bättre läge går inte att hitta om man vill besöka Vierwaldstättersee. Precis utanför dörren går båtarna in till Luzern och bergbanan upp till 1800 m på Rigi. Varför inte ett mineral kaltbad på vägen upp eller ner. Som avslutning på dagen är solnedgången över sjön otroligt vacker och bad finns precis bredvid hotellet. Hottellet är en del av Witznaus charmiga historia och att uppleva det är roligt. Hotellet är äldre och överallt påminns man om dess ”storhetstid”. Vi trivdes väldigt bra och blev fantastiskt väl omhändertagna. Det var rent och bekvämt med allt man behöver och dessutom fanns en fin hiss. Utsikt mot sjön är ett måste. AC saknas men brisen från öppna fönster var lika bra. Frukosten var enkel men bra och serverades i det mest fantastiska salen med panoramafönster mot sjön. Rekommenderas av många orsaker.

One of my favorite hotels. Beautiful and very conveniently located next to ferry and cogwheel train. Breakfast had good options. Room was clean and staff went above and beyond.

Fabulous position right on the lake and beside the mountain train. Breakfast was a simple continental but quite sufficient. Toiletries were classy and plentiful. The Hotels past was likely quite fancy and a little bit of a spruce up would make her fabulous again.

Perfect location to visit Rigi. You walk out the hotel and the boat and tram are a 2 min walk. Great food at the restaurant and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommend staying here.

The view of the lake was amazing. We didnt see the mountains due to clouds but there are beautiful walks close by. The staff were super. Exceeded expectations.

Schönes Historisches Hotel. Tolle Lage! Frühstücksraum mit einmaliger Aussicht auf den Vierwaldstättersee. Etwas renovationsbedürftig.

An incredibly charming, and a well maintained historic hotel. Staff was really nice, and the breakfast (with that view) was something I looked forward to everyday. Also its location is ideal; it's right next to the Riggi train, the ferry stop and the bus stop. How perfect is that?! Got the most stunning pictures right from my room's shared balcony, morning, evening and even nighttime! Easy access to pretty much all tourist hotspots all around Lake Lucerne and other places. The few things I would recommend: 1. Fix the floor creaking (BUT NOT CHANGE THEM, because they're beautiful). They creak so loud it wakes up the other person in the room 2. Room keys have these grenade looking keychains we were told represent lake bouys. Please reduce the bouy sizes on the room keys so they can fit in a pocket. 3. Maybe hire some staff for the night shift in case guests have an emergency, medical or otherwise. 4. Historic buildings can have plumbing issues. My bath drain kept getting blocked with water overflowing into the larger bathroom. 5. You have an amazing breakfast room. Why not also open it up for lunch and dinner as well? There seems to be a shortage of good restaurants in the area. Everything said, I cant wait to go back to this charming, memorable hotel again.

The area and environment around the hotel is absolutely stunning and we really enjoyed exploring Vitznau. The hotel was clean and where it is situated was really amazing. However, the hotel itself felt like you were alone the entire time with no service. Breakfast options were poor. The room had a construction site that began working loudly at 6am in the morning and the bed was very uncomfortable. For the price, we were hoping for a more comfortable room. The staff also took our feedback kindly. We were also very grateful for the free car park!

My friend and I had a lot of fun in this town! The Rigi Panorama Trail access is right around the corner from the hotel. The front desk staff was super helpful with any questions we had!! Such a cute hotel and great breakfast included with your stay!

This elegant traditional hotel sits at waters edge with a curved windowed dining area used for breakfast. The view is stunning! I only regret that the weather was cool and rainy and I did not have the occasion to sit out in the Hotel's outside areas. Excellent service and a simply wonderful breakfast--and very reasonably priced. I don't know if I'll be back in Switzerland, but if I am, this is where I am coming. I just loved this hotel and its world-class views!

Der Aufenthalt war sehr schön, man spürt den herrlichen Stil des Hauses und ein bisschen die Zeit, die an der Einrichtung genagt hat. Die Lage und der Service des Hotels war super. Das einzig Negative; kein frisches Brot vom Beck, nur so gewöhnliche Aufbackbrötchen.

Wonderful hotel with beautiful clean rooms. The town was very safe & quiet. I would recommend renting a car if you want to get around easy. Limited dining options during the week off season. Good food but only two or three close by.
